Wanted to give a shout out to Danny Bedrosian! 🎹🔥
He has been holding down the keys in Parliament-Funkadelic for over 22 years now, making him the longest-tenured keyboard player in the live band's history.
He also has his own incredible band called Secret Army. If you haven't checked them out yet, they are a powerhouse group featuring other P-Funk legends like Lige Curry on bass and Benzel Cowan on drums. They play a really unique, genre-bending mix of heavy funk, progressive rock, hip-hop, and even Middle Eastern music.
I put together a playlist tracking Danny's work, from his mind-blowing live solos with the Mothership to his tracks with Secret Army. Check it out here:
How many of you funky mugs know about Ray White? Since Frank Zappa couldn't convince Gary Shider to join his band, he hired Ray White instead. Ray will never be a Gary Shider, check out his soulful voice and wonderful guitar playing here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWjF-... and a tight instrumental here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eePA...

Yes, we all love and worship Eddie Hazel’s cosmic genius, and we will always bow down to Mike Hampton’s blistering fretwork. DO NOT sleep on Dewayne "Blackbyrd" McKnight!** 🔥 Lest we forget, the brother didn't just steer the Parliament-Funkadelic ship as musical director and lead guitarist for 40 years—he also played with **Miles Davis**.
If you want to see exactly what I mean, go check out the newly upgraded audio of "Standing on the Verge Jam" from the 1994 Sting show right here: https://youtu.be/lXiszWnxUho
Hey Funk Family! 🎸 If you love the raw, heavy, psychedelic grooves of the first two Funkadelic albums, this you need to see. George Clinton and the band absolutely tore the roof off in Sayreville, NJ : https://youtu.be/h4V2vUDPrTI
