Hi, I’m Anthony 👋
A few years ago, I became fascinated with a simple question: what did the people of the Bible actually eat?
I’ve always loved storytelling and research, and I genuinely enjoy sharing the things I discover with others. The more I dug into Scripture, history, archaeology, and modern nutrition, the more amazed I became. Again and again, I found ancient foods that science is only now beginning to appreciate.
That journey completely changed the way I think about food and inspired this channel.
Here, we explore biblical foods, ancient recipes, forgotten history, and the fascinating stories behind them.
If you enjoy ancient wisdom, natural food, and discovering the incredible world behind the Bible as much as I do, I think you’ll feel right at home here.
Welcome! 😊

New video is up 😊 Did you know the bread on the Communion table once helped split the church in two? I had so much fun digging into that story, and at the end we bake a simple loaf together with just flour and water. Perfect if you're making it for your church or for communion at home 🙏

Does your church use leavened or unleavened bread for Communion?

New video is up 😊
Turns out there's a chemical in some mass produced bread that's also used to make yoga mats foam up, and once I started digging into what actually happens between a field of wheat and a factory loaf, I couldn't unsee it. Followed both loaves side by side, biblical and modern, start to finish 🍞

Would you rather have bread made with four simple ingredients, or bread built to survive weeks on a shelf?

New video is up 😊 This one goes back 3,000 years to a biblical story where food helped stop something terrible from happening, and one incredibly simple food in particular really surprised me.
It definitely got me looking at my own pantry a little differently 🙏

And I’m curious, vote in the poll below 👇
If the grid went down tonight, how long would your pantry actually last you?

Better skin, healthier joints, and support for your gut. I’ve been making a big pot of bone broth every week for months now, and I genuinely didn’t expect to enjoy it this much 😊
What makes it even more fascinating is that broth shows up in the biblical world too, including the pot Gideon carried out to a mysterious stranger beneath a tree.
Bones, water, and time. So simple, yet there’s some fascinating research behind what happens inside that pot.

Many of you have asked for this one 😊
A REAL gluten-free bread — a proper loaf you can slice, toast, and enjoy like bread. And amazingly, the ingredient takes us back to one of the strangest little details in the whole Bible.
Even if gluten has never been an issue for you, this loaf is genuinely delicious on its own, with the ingredients offering real health benefits.

I didn’t expect to feel this different after simply switching what I drank in the morning.
If you’re already keeping a sourdough starter alive on your counter, you’re going to love this one. It’s the same idea, just the dairy version.
Living, cultured milk like Abraham served to strangers under a tree, thousands of years before “probiotic” was even a word.
Just milk, a living culture, and time.
Who here is already keeping a sourdough starter alive? 😊

Do you ever want to bake your own bread, but then think about the starter, the kneading, the rising, the waiting… and decide it’s just too much hassle? 😅
This might be the bread for you.
Unleavened bread is about as simple as bread gets. Just 2 ingredients, and you can have it cooked in around 5 minutes. But behind that simplicity is a surprisingly powerful biblical story, beginning with the Israelites leaving Egypt in such haste that there wasn’t even time for their dough to rise.
In the new video, we’ll uncover that story, see what unleavened bread was actually like, and make it together step by step.
And as always, I really appreciate every one of you watching, commenting, and being part of this little community ❤️🙏

What do you reach for when you need energy? Coffee? An energy drink? 3,000 years ago, in a barley field outside Bethlehem, Ruth was given something far simpler. No caffeine. No sugar spike. Just water and vinegar, offered in a beautiful moment of kindness and provision. ❤️
In the new video, we explore this forgotten biblical drink, the fascinating story behind it, what modern science says, and how you can make it at home.

I hope you enjoy this one, and I pray it brings a little encouragement to your day. 🙏

I’ve seen so many of you mentioning spelt in the comments lately, so I’ve been listening! 😊
The new video is all about this ancient grain: why it was valued for thousands of years, what makes it different from modern wheat, and how to turn it into spelt sourdough bread at home.
Thank you to everyone who keeps sharing your experiences and asking about these older grains. Your comments really do help shape what I make next.
Have you baked with spelt before? If so, how did it turn out?
