Elon just announced you can access the X API through OpenClaw — the open-source agent framework. Big deal if you've ever tried building on X: the official API tiers have been brutal for indie devs, jumping from limited free access straight to enterprise pricing. Routing through OpenClaw could be a much cheaper path in.
Good move or bad?
On one hand, it opens X back up to the builder community that largely left after the 2023 pricing changes. On the other, it raises questions about rate limits, what data actually flows through, and whether Musk keeps the door open long-term.
