Hey dont mind the pic I just need it so ppl will hopefully see this 😂. S2 of the ALTA live action just came out and I was reminded of all the hate Mai and Azulas actors got. Honestly, even if you’re not a part of fandom you can see it’s bad. The amount of comments that either body shame them or focus on how they don’t look like the character and pretty much don’t even give them a chance is appalling. Do they look the characters? No, but that doesn’t mean they can’t play them. If the problem was their acting/performance that’s valid. Writing them off solely/mainly because they don’t look like the character in a show where looks are not important and the story is the main thing that makes the show amazing is not valid and never will be. While I like the live action overall I can definitely understand why people don’t like it. They made unnecessary changes and left a lot out, but that has nothing to do with the actors looks. Again, criticizing their acting is fine but anything else might be going too far. Speaking of body shaming it happens a lot in kpop as well (Wonyoung and Jeongyeon for example) and it’s not ok. (Just wanted to make the connection cuz thats what this channel is abt). Alright Im done pls share if you agree 😊.
