Teaching your children values, assigning house chores, and teaching them life skills while leaving God out of the picture is like ironing a dirty outfit to be worn for an important occasion. You may succeed in making it look good on the outside, but you have neglected what needs to be addressed first.
Dear Intentional Parent, teaching your children good values is important. Teaching them responsibility through house chores is necessary. Equipping them with life skills is essential.
But in all these, where is God?
God should not be the extra we add to our parenting when we have time. He should be the MAIN!
Don't just raise children who know how to behave well; raise children who know God.
Don't just teach them to be responsible; teach them to be accountable to God.
Don't just prepare them to succeed in life; disciple them to fulfil God's purpose for their lives.
Remember, parenting is not complete when we teach our children how to live well in this world while neglecting to teach them how to walk with God.
God is not an accessory to Kingdom Parenting. He is the FOUNDATION!

So, don't just feed them. Nurture them.
Don't just send them to school. Equip them.
Don't just prepare them for success. Prepare them for purpose.
Don't just raise children who will survive in this world. Raise Kingdom Influencers who will make a difference in it.

Last week, we were in Ghana 🇬🇭, and I had the opportunity of tasting the “Almighty Ghana Jollof!” 😂
My verdict? I would say it is all about perception! 😃🇬🇭🇳🇬
Now, Dear Intentional Parents, comparing your children with their siblings or other children is like comparing Ghana Jollof with Nigeria Jollof. Everybody has their preference, abi? 😂
Your child does not have to be like another child to be exceptional!
Rather than spend your time comparing, take time to discover what makes your child unique.
✅ See the best in your child.
✅ Strengthen their weaknesses.
✅ Empower their strengths.
✅ Create an environment where their God-given potential can flourish.
Remember, your children are not in competition with one another. They are individuals with different gifts, personalities, abilities, and assignments.
