Telekom Electronic Beats TV is one of the longest running video platforms for quality Electronic Music, starting with a show on Viva 2 (German Music TV) in 2002, before launching the highly popular Slices DVD Magazine in March of 2005 and later becoming Electronic Beats TV again which went fully online on YouTube in 2012. Since we paved the way for this kind of electronic music related video content two decades ago the world of artist and label focused features and studio sneak peeks has grown exponentially with many other following suit with the format we championed in our early days.
Over the years we’ve delivered a wide variety of content for our viewers, from our popular Blind Test series to Tech Talks, documentaries, B-Sides, Artist / Label features and Live Videos featuring established artists and newcomers alike.
And the story goes on....

As the term Schranz turned out to be more polarising than expected, and several DJs we approached didn’t want to be associated with the label, we’ve decided to change direction.
Instead, we're doing a Techno Blind Test featuring only harder techno tracks from 1996 to 2006. The musical territory remains similar — we're just leaving the genre label aside. After all, the term has always meant different things to different people.
So far, the line-up includes: Pet Duo, Steve Redhead, Gaetano Parisio
Who else should we invite?
We'd love to hear suggestions, especially for younger DJs and female artists who know this sound inside out.

You won’t want to miss next Tuesday!
In Episode 42 of our much-loved Electronic Beats Blind Test Series, we dive deep into the pioneering era of French House from 1995 to 2000. Expect timeless classics exclusively from French producers.
As always, six selectors step into the arena: Versatile Records founder and French electronic music mainstay Gilb’R; Parisian house pioneer DJ Gregory; French DJ, producer and club veteran Sébastien Léger; bassline virtuoso and French Touch icon Fred Falke; Detroit-born DJ, singer and producer sillygirlcarmen; and Liverpool-based groove specialist Lauren Lo Sung.
Remember: this is all about fun, great music, and sharing knowledge — not just about who scores the most points or who has been around the longest.
Big respect to everyone who stepped up to take the test when many others might have backed out.

The next Blind Test is all about (real) Schranz from its peak era, roughly the mid-90s to the early 2000s.
The playlist is curated by none other than Chris Liebing.
Which DJs would you like to see in the Blind Test?
I’m curious to see whether some new names come up for once, instead of the usual 10–15 that always get mentioned.

Not everyone might have Franz Scala on their radar yet — but we’ve been big fans of his sound for a while.
Blending Italo Disco, Psychedelic Disco, Proto House and New Wave, the Italian producer and Slow Motion founder has a truly unique and timeless style.
We invited him for a Electronic Beats Tech Talk… and the result drops this Tuesday
Stay tuned.
