The Sacramento Observer has been providing news and information for and about the African American community of Sacramento since 1962. Publisher Dr. William H. Lee, one of the award-winning newspaper's founders, is a nationally recognized leader in the Black press. His son, Larry Lee, currently serves as president and general manager.
