It's a Camping Thing!
This weeks video has been binned. I could see easily that it was tanking and to be honest I half expected it. I tried something new knowing that I couldn’t go out for a fourth consecutive weekend. Partly down to commitments and the fact that with planning, packing, filming and editing it was giving me a 100+ hour working week. To say I was exhausted would be an understatement.
So doing green screen commentary over previously shot footage of a campsite was a challenge for me which clearly did not work.
This also means that next weeks planned video is also binned as that was planned along the same idea.
I will get back out there again. But will limit myself to two campsites per month. YouTube is hard but you have to be honest with yourself on a video that doesn’t work. I do want to make better and better content and I am committed to that.

Sadly no internet for being able to post my video today. I’ve been assured that an engineer will be out in a couple of days.
So with that in mind and the fact that my editing software needs internet as well. Then my upcoming videos will follow from Saturday now.

November I will be reviewing more camping gear. Everything from a portable self heating coffee maker for under £40 to a new mattress and more. Plus getting away to more campsites.

It's a Camping Thing!
Out later this week ( likely Wednesday ) I will try a three person tent following on from the two person in last week’s video and a one person tent the week before that.
In the three person tent I used a very new mattress and some new camping gear to hopefully edge to my ultimate campsite camping set up.
But did it fail or go beyond my expectations? You’ll have to watch to find out.
After that video I will be taking a couple of weeks away from visiting campsites. 6 nights at work and then a night away. Two days of preparing, charging kit and packing before each trip and 2 days editing after. A brief break is needed so I can spend some quality time with my little girl Bella.
I will be posting some campsite reviews on footage I’ve already taken. Whilst I take that break away from traveling. These reviews will hopefully give anyone thinking of camping in the UK an idea of what they can expect.
But I will be returning to try a four person tent in early November with another new sleep system and see if I can better my setup further.

This time out I’m trying and variation on my magnetic lamp idea. Here is one on the tarp for when I cook later. I also have another one for the tent. The beauty of these being magnetic is that they can go almost anywhere you need the light to be. Rather than be constrained by where the light hook is. Picture 3 is the magnets on the opposite side of the tarp.
These lamps are under £17 and come in a pack of three. Better still they are rechargeable.
