Weekend Tech Lab
Building a home lab and exploring tech, one weekend at a time. Mistakes will be made, but that's part of the fun. My goal is to help you take control of your digital life in affordable, understandable ways, using (mostly) free and open-source software. Let's work together to take back tech!

@Samsung, idk who Regala is, but this person made my morning. This is the kind of customer service I miss. Personal and human. My day is much better because of Regala.

I started this channel expecting to fail, and even though I'm still a tiny creator, seeing this number is incredibly humbling and meaningful to me. This has been so much fun and just as much work, but I have learned so much about tech, myself, and commitment. So to me, this has been a monumental success. Thank you to those of you who have been supporting this random human over the past several months. What a blessing.

It’s finally in! I’ll test out as much as I can and answer your questions from my pre-order video (now unlisted since it’s not irrelevant). This will be an unsponsored review of the TCL NXTPaper NoteA1. I’ve only tested out the weighting, but so far, so good!

My Year with ChatGPT, Painted in Pixels. Clearly helping me through my drone hyper fixation and NAS rabbit holes. :) Happy New Year! I think 2026 will bring lots of camera, drone, and Linux content.

Thank you, all! I never thought something so objectively small would feel so big. I started this channel with zero expectations, but the interactions I’ve had have been more fulfilling and meaningful than I could have imagined. Making it to 500 subs is more than I thought I’d ever get, so thank you! 🙏 Have a beautiful day!

Thank you for visiting 10,000 times! What an honor it is to have neighbors like you. 🥰 I'll be sharing a video this weekend and many more to come. Words can't convey my gratitude for the kindness and motivation I've received. Thank you again and as always, have a beautiful day!

I meant to post this last week, so it's a bit late... but THANK YOU to my first 100 Subscribers! And thank you to those who have come since. I sincerely couldn't have imagined how much work, fun, and appreciation starting a YouTube channel would bring me. And I never expected to feel so connected to the small group of people who have trusted my insights. Thank you for the words of encouragement and authentic engagement. I hope I can continue to develop my video, communication, and tech skills so I can better connect and inform. This hope is also a commitment to myself and to all of you. I never thought 100 subscribers would feel so big, but for little ol' me, this is HUGE!

That's not the DJI Osmo Pocket 3... it's the Xtra Muse. 👀 I'll be posting a quick first impressions video this week, and a full DJI comparison next week. Stay tuned, and let me know if there's anything specific you'd want me to test out.

Watching some @SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE while multitasking with my TCL NXTPAPER 14. Not affiliated in any way but his channel is awesome. I needed to update my computer for video editing and he was a big help! My next video on why I'm selling my Nintendo Switch 2 will be up this week, and I'll be sharing thoughts on the NXTPAPER 11 Plus as well as the XE NXTPAPER 5G mobile phone this month!
