No Wi-Fi in the field? No problem. 💡
Recently I built a small LoRa + ESP32 IoT system, and it was really fun to work on.
The main part of the project is REYAX TECHNOLOGY RYLR993 / RYLR998 LoRa modules. I used them to connect remote ESP32 sensor nodes with a central hub over long range.
The data flow is simple:
Sensor Nodes → LoRa → ESP32 Hub → MQTT → MySQL → Web Dashboard
I used a DHT22 and liquid level sensor for the nodes, and built a simple Flask dashboard to see the data live.
No Wi-Fi or cellular connection is needed at the sensor nodes, which makes LoRa pretty interesting for remote monitoring.
I also made a complete tutorial showing the wiring, code and live dashboard.
