Hi everyone, just a quick update from me - going forward I will now aim to post new videos on Tuesdays at 5pm UK time. There will be a lot going on over the next couple of months and into the new year with settling in to my new job amongst other things, so this should give me a bit of breathing space to manage my work, channel and personal commitments. It’s been a fun yet busy weekend at Innotrans 2026, which I attended for the first (and hopefully not the last!) time as a visitor - I’m still travelling through Europe filming some new content so this week’s video will be aimed to be released Tuesday rather than Monday. For now though, here’s a few photos of what was on display at Innotrans, some of which might be making their way to the channel in 2027! 👀

Finally getting around to the videos from my South East Asia trip and first up is Indonesia’s new luxury compartment suites overnight train - this is a rather controversial product for many reasons and whilst it is a nice little treat, there are a number of shortcomings that really need to be addressed. In today’s video, we’ll be taking a look at ÖBB’s newly refurbished first generation Railjet. Arguably one of Austria’s largest train upgrade projects, this seeks to bring the original 60 sets in line with the second generation sets launched in 2024 though I did find this to be rather mixed…

Got quite the journey for today’s video, as we take the SJ Euronight in a deluxe ensuite sleeper from Stockholm to Berlin which is often branded as Europe’s most delayed railway service. Safe to say this journey lived up to that reputation well 😅 See you at 5pm BST!

Today on the channel is part 1 of my journey from Sweden to Finland by train as we take Sweden's fastest high speed train across Swedish Lapland to the Finnish border at Haparanda. There's definitely more than meets the eye with these little X52 2 car units, which you'll learn more about at 5pm BST. See you then!
