I was thinking of covering this in the 2026 summary, but I decided to go ahead and discuss this now. But I wanna discuss...

Para-social "fans"


I wanna get this clear, the support you all show and kind comments truly do mean a lot to me. Seeing kind comments, instant likes when I post a video, or getting the rare paycheck from this side hobby makes me feel great. The fact I have 41.2 THOUSAND people who have decided to sub to me will never not shock me.
BUT, ever since making a server for you people to hang out, I've met and had to deal with MANY fans who are VERY para-social. And it's getting to a point where I feel the need to talk about it.
I understand to many of you I'm an inspiration, and my content has helped you. But at the end of the day, I'm a 20 year old queer dude who works at Subway (usually less than 40 hours a week lol). Who does this as a side hobby. I'm not a god, I'm not a super crazy talented video maker. I'm just a normal dude running a (usually, depends on the video) one man show.
So when I get people who will DM, and message me every day ever minor detail of their life, I get tired and annoyed of it. If my videos help you in dark times, that's great to know! I've had moments where content creators videos gets me out of bad times. But to message me and give me your life story is just a step too far.
I don't mind fans messaging me with small things. If you message me a simple "I love your videos", "You've gotten me through dark times", "You inspired me", that's okay. I even had some fans tell me my Petcop video helped inspire them to literally transition. To know i had that effect on people with my Petscop video, is truly a great feeling that can't be compared.
But I don't want you to think I'm your buddy or friend cause I reply to your kind words. You're a human who likes my content, that's it. It is nothing more, nothing less. Just because "the video dude" replied to you doesn't mean I'm going to contact you over and over. It doesn't mean you can share every detail of your life to me everyday.
And I've dealt with this on my server. With people who harass me to do a video on their fav game or movie. And when someone says "can you cover ______ oh pretty please?" to me every fucking day, i don't wanna fucking cover the stupid thing. Or people who idolize me in VC's and act like I'm the 2nd coming of YouTube Jesus. I'm a normal human, who makes videos in his spare time.
Once again, I really, REALLY am thankful for your support over these years. But I feel some of you forget I'm a normal dude behind the TV head mascot. So please, just know, I am not your friend, I'm not your buddy, I'm just a dude who makes things.
TL;DR stop thinking I'm your buddy cause I reply to 1 message or some shit.

Recently watched a VERY well made together video on the NIGHTMARE mod and the dev, Yoru.

And I wanna throw my 50 cents and an apology in.
I feel bad for making that video. The goal of the video is to show me sucking and not liking it, and there's no intention of sending hate to Yoru. But to be so honest, I do fear that I sent hate to her anyway. And if I did, I do apologize to Yoru for that.
I love L4D1-2, (mainly 1 for it's tone and looks). And I think that Nightmares visuals are the best part and what I love it for.
But the more and more I look at my Nightmare video, the more it feels like that other Nightmare video by Nazconz. That being a video just ignoring the point of the modpack and shitting on it. And after hearing this interview and hearing all the horrid shit Yoru has dealt with from the L4D2 community, I feel bad for making the Nightmare video.
So I'm thinking of trying the mod again with a far more open mind (when my PC isn't fumcking dead).
I am thinking of unlisting the video and trying to get more into the modpack and viewing it more as a game made in L4D2. Like how Zombie Survival is a gamemode in Gmod, but feels like it's own game.
Also shout out to that waste of space that accused the dev of being a p-do in that videos comment section. That fella is an actual piece of crap and I hope you choke on your spit.

TL;DR
I will likely unlist the Nightmare video and throw it the A.S.S playlist. After hearing how much terrible crap the dev of the modpack has been through. And I am thinking of replaying the mod with a more open mind when I get my PC back.

Update on da PC
It is INDEED the motherboard. We tried a new CPU, and as it turns out, it's the motherboard.
But I should hopefully get a new one soon. So work on the L4D2 video will resume soon!
