💰 The headline: net income $19.53B, EPS $44.75 — a record quarter. Every dollar of it is a $20.91B paper gain on Bitcoin. The software business did $125.4M of revenue, down 3%, and missed its bar.
📉 The KPI failed: Bitcoin per share — the number Strategy tells holders to judge it by — is DOWN 3.7% this year. The pile grew 26% to 848,517 BTC. The share count grew faster.
🏭 The machine: $21.23B raised in 2026, mostly new shares. Issuance only adds Bitcoin per share while the stock trades rich to the coins behind it. That premium is gone — so every new share now dilutes the claim.
🔁 The inversion: Strategy SOLD $431.8M of Bitcoin this year to pay preferred dividends and fund $2.04B of STRC buybacks. Last week it bought no Bitcoin at all — the cash defended the preferred instead.
🗓️ The housekeeping: the preferreds move to daily dividends on a 99.3% vote, and the CFO steps down November 5. A new finance chief inherits the machine in January.

🏦 The exchange underneath: operating income $61.7M, down from $480.5M a year ago. Adjusted net income: $78M. Operating margin 5.1% — it was 25.7%.
📉 The core shrank: revenue $1.22B, -35% year over year. Transaction revenue $590M, -44%, on consumer spot volume down 59%. Even subscriptions & services fell 20% to $570M.
🚪 The tell: in the same filing season, Armstrong, Ehrsam and Choi set plans to sell up to 13.6M shares — ~$2.2B, ~6% of the Class A shares — over the next 14 months.
💵 What held: free cash flow $405.5M, adjusted EBITDA $332.9M beat its bar, and trading market share rose to 10.7%. The machine works. It is just smaller than the headline claims.
