CRA is actively reviewing Canadians who bill US clients through a corporation. They have a profile: one shareholder, one client, full-time hours, on the client's system. Fit it, and roughly 11% becomes 44.5%. Retroactively.

These images cover the 4 decisions that decide which side of that letter you land on. The full video with the math on screen is live now.

💡 Tax Term Tuesday

Refundable Tax → Refundable tax is tax paid by a corporation that can potentially be refunded back to the corporation when it pays certain taxable dividends.

Think of it as a pool of refundable taxes that can be recovered later when the right type of dividend is paid.

The timing of when you take money out of a corporation can affect when those refundable taxes are recovered – which can create opportunities to manage personal tax over time.

🎧 New video is live.

The wealthiest families in this country almost never give their kids anything. Not the company, not the property, not the investments. And it isn’t because they don’t trust their kids.

Here’s what they do instead, why one family’s kid got a $1.6 million tax bill while a nearly identical family paid $270,000, and the answer nobody selling trusts will give you: most families don’t need one.

Which lane is your family in? 🤔
