Hi, I have lived and breathed vintage & classic cars, old lorries, automobilia and more here in the UK since the mid-1980s when I first laid a spanner on the rusting remains of a 1967 Triumph Spitfire. I learnt to drive in a Mk1 Austin Mini, and took my test in our Austin A40 Mk1. I created the Old Classic Car (OCC) site in 2001 to reflect my own interests in the world of aged automobiles and it is updated regularly. I hope that my videos about these characterful old cars, and my obsessions about them, help raise the profile of these wonderful relics of motoring's past. Saturday's upload sees HJ & I in the MG Midget at this year's Curborough charity fun day, where demo runs around the sprint course by a multitude of wonderful vintage & classic cars took place throughout the day. I was staggered at the variety of cars that turned up, think Bugatti, Aston Martin, Austin, Ford, Triumph, MG, Riley and more. Harley's runs in the MG didn't entirely go to plan, and yes a tow rope does feature ... it'll be live Saturday 06.30am.

A brief video is lined up for Friday 06.30am, based on the re-discovery of an old item of garage paperwork from 1925. It describes the sale of a new Rover car to a gent in St. Asaph, North Wales. I tell the story of the car's sale, and dig into the background of the gent who opted to buy it from his local motor company. It's only about 8 minutes in length, so a break from the long videos of late :-)
