So apparently there seems to be some misconception among collectors that if a system sensor MA/SS has the break tabs that it’s automatically a BRK model, but that is simply not the case. System sensor was a division of BRK and Pittway owned both of them but just because the system sensor MA/SS has the break tabs does not mean it’s a BRK model. If you’re wondering how to tell the difference here are some photos. It can be kind of hard to tell. A BRK version often only has fire lettering on the sides, though sometimes you’ll find them with fire lettering on the front too. It’ll usually be branded BRK electronics however, in some cases, you will see one with the system sensor strobe, but that’s not the only way to tell the. The best way to tell the difference is by the default tone with no tabs broken if the default tone with no tabs broken is 800 Hz then it’s a BRK model if it’s slow whoop then it’s a system sensor model. It also will say system sensor model on the back or BRK model on the back which also can be used to distinguish between the system sensor and BRK model. In addition if you take the circuit board cover off the circuit board is different a little bit not by much on a System sensor MA/SS 24L versus a BRKMA/SS 24

Massive shout out to ‪@TheaolguyFireAlarms‬ he found a way to change the tone on a System sensor MA/SS24L or BRK MA/SS 24 without breaking the tabs. This is so useful because I was able to successfully convert two of my system sensor MA/SS 24L devices to be able to use tone jumpers so now I can change the tone on these devices without permanently, changing it due to the brake tabs thank you so much to. Also, next time I get a system sensor, MA/SS 24L I will do a video for anyone who wants to know how to do this on how to do this because it’s not that difficult to do you gotta be very careful about it and it needs some precision, but it’s not that difficult to do so next time I get another video though I do have a BRK mask will show you guys how to do this on. This will make it to where you don’t have to permanently change the tone.

All right, so I know I’ve been ordering notification appliances, like crazy, but I found a strobe a remote strobe that has the exact strobe for a System sensor mass that I could use and I’ve wanted a wheelock eh-dl1 with th is strobe. They should be here shortly.

Got some new fire alarm devices that will be coming in in a few days maybe next week. I got a ceiling mount FOS 6120. System sensor MA/SS 12 and a fire light BG 10, which I’m gonna use to fix my BG 10 L
