We hope you all had a Merry Christmas. My granddaughter needed a seat to fit safely on the sled without flying off the back, so I made her one and there was just enough snow left to test it out.
Thank you so much for your interest in our videos. There have been a lot of folks interested in making rope. We do have one more rope maker with accessory for sale on our Etsy store. I made several of these a while back and we have one left. If interest continues we might make some more. We can even take you along and show you how they are made: forgeandoak.etsy.com/listing/1768038841
Thanks very much to everyone who has found our videos recently and all you sticking around for more content. We're doing well but a lot has been happening. Hoping to catch up on some videos as things cool off. It sure is dry this year. Hope you all had a good growing season and thanks for taking an interest in the odd things we do, and for all your kindness.
2 out of 3 Maytags painted mounted and running. Still a little something with timing on the fruit jar, but we're close. Hope you all had a good weekend!
Well hello again everyone. It's been a while. My Cameraman/editor/son has been a bit behind on his Ozzie duties. We hope you have the patience and understanding to let us try and get back to sharing our videos with you.
We do have some footage from the fall of 2022 ready to share, and we'd like to continue to do some "come along with us" type videos to offer you in the future.
In mid 2022 we started on some bigger video projects: a step-by-step woodshop project making a wheelbarrow, and a deep dive into our old schoolhouse. We overestimated our horsepower a little bit, and those longer videos aren't coming together for us quite as quickly.
We hope the later part of your 2022 went well and let's all look forward to a great year.
A big thanks to all of you "weed pullers" and "wrench turners" who have inspired us with your videos. A big thanks to all of you "old-timers" who've shared your stories with us. And thank you all so much for your support of the Odd things we do.
I hope your gardens are growing well! ...With any luck we're going to have a great tomato crop this year. Volunteer tomato plants keep popping up all over our garden, pretty healthy too. We keep transplanting them in rows and protecting them with a can and we'll see what they produce. Stay cool and have fun, everybody!

Was honored that Mike's Garage 1955 shouted us out and he's working on a corn sheller of his own. Thanks Mike, nice sheller!
