It’s incredibly frustrating. The speakers aren't faulty, the build quality is excellent, and they’ve given me a decade of loyal service. Yet, because of a corporate decision to phase out the software support, a perfectly good premium smart speaker loses its smart functionality.

Is it right for companies to phase out support for expensive audio gear while the hardware is still pristine?
