This weekend the words “spend more time in the portal of your heart than the portal of your hands” came to me, and I’ve been thinking about them ever since.🌀 At first my phone came to mind. It’s definitely a portal that can transport me to all sorts of places really quickly. But it’s been so much more than the silly phone that’s been making me feel fatigued. It’s the very popular and addictive idea that my hands must be doing more to take me where I want to go. That I must be trying more, creating more, building more. Faster! Faster! Go, go, go!

Well… what you believe is true, comes to you. Which is why for me, nothing is more important than spending time in the portal of my heart.🩷 to sit with my beliefs and my dreams and to FEEL them. To lay with them until we are comfortable enough together for me to say “I know you. I know you’re true. I know you’re mine.”

If I stop snuggling with the things I actually believe, or with the dreams that call to me, then the old lies start creeping back, “hustle! hustle! go go go!”

“You’re not doing enough” slowly becomes “you’re not enough.”

LIES.

So instead I curl up in my heart and I wait until I hear the familiar voice of the Divine that lives inside of me and He always tells me the same things.

“You’re mine. I love you. I will take care of you. I will always give you everything you need. Trust. Believe.”

And then I remember that everything is a gift.
And I feel grateful.
And all that matters is my current breath, my current moment.
And suddenly, miracles are everywhere.
And my dreams are sparkling into reality again.
Not because of what came out of my hands.
But because of the time I spent inside of my heart.
