About That Life In Christ

Daily Bread — 09.08.2026

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5

It really is a battlefield in the mind. When we're not careful, we can begin believing the lies the enemy keeps throwing at us:
“You're not good enough.”
“These people are out to get you.”
“They don't really love you.”
“You're better off alone.”

All of it.

But what if some of the thoughts you've been entertaining are actually keeping you from the community God has been calling you into? What if God has been trying to heal your wound of rejection through the right people, but you've been so afraid of being hurt again that you've kept everyone at a distance?

Because the truth is, not everyone is a bad person.

I understand that many of you have experienced rejection in different forms. I've been there. I've experienced church hurt, rejection, abandonment, and disappointment. I know what it feels like to build walls because you don't want to experience that kind of pain again.

But this year, the Lord brought me into an amazing church community, and the love of God is evident in that house. And let me tell you—the enemy tried to keep me home.
He tried to keep me stuck in the cycle of rejection and isolation by replaying different scenarios in my mind—things that weren't even true. He would give me every reason to stay home, stay guarded, and stay comfortable in isolation. There were times that I allowed those thoughts to prosper, which did keep me home at times.

The devil is a nasty, cunning LIAR!

But I shook it off, got back up, and still kept going anyway.

Every Sunday, I would walk through those church doors and be met with hugs, smiles, encouragement, prayer, and genuine love. And no matter how I had been feeling that week, something about being surrounded by God's people refreshed my soul.
They cared about me. They prayed for me. They welcomed me. They showed me love.
And I am genuinely blessed to be part of a church family like that.

I'm not going to lie—when I first went, I was guarded. I was afraid. My walls were up. Because who wants to be hurt like that again?

I still kept going.

Even when I was afraid. Even when my mind told me to stay home. Even when I didn't know what to expect.

I kept taking the faithful step.

And every time I chose obedience over fear, something began to break off of me.
Rejection began to lose its grip.
Instead of constantly expecting rejection, I began experiencing the love of God through His amazing, faithful, and obedient children.

And the crazy part? I didn't even realize what God was doing until He revealed it to me this past week.
Isn't Jesus amazing?

Sometimes God answers the prayers we've been praying by asking us to take a step. We can pray for healing, but sometimes healing requires us to step into the places God is leading us. We can pray for community, but sometimes community requires us to get up and show up. We can pray for connection, but sometimes connection requires us to lower our walls and allow ourselves to be seen.

Planting seeds isn't just about what you speak in prayer; it's also about the daily actions of faith you take.

Prayer plants the seed. Faith gets up and moves.

**Encouragement**

Just because you've been around people who rejected, abandoned, neglected, or betrayed you doesn't mean everyone will treat you the same way. There are good people out there. There are people who will pray for you, encourage you, love you, support you, and genuinely want to see you become everything God has called you to be.

Don't allow what happened with the wrong people to convince you that you don't need anyone. God created us for relationship and community.

Yes, there are seasons when God will call you away from certain people. There are also times when He will ask you to sit quietly in His presence and allow Him to heal you. But don't confuse

solitude with isolation.

Don't believe the lie that you can completely fill your own cup while sitting alone.
You need people—the right people.

And God knows exactly who those people are.

So don't be afraid to sit at His feet, get into His presence, and lay your **HEART** before Him.

Tell Him about the rejection.
Tell Him about the betrayal.
Tell Him about the abandonment.
Tell Him why you're afraid to trust again.

And then allow Him to show you that everyone isn't the same.

Maybe the community you've been praying for is on the other side of the step you've been afraid to take.

Don't let the enemy's lies keep you from something God is trying to use to heal you.
Take the step. Show up. Keep going. Trust God with the process.
And let Him show you what healthy, godly community can look like.

** Scripture of the Day **
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.

**You were never meant to walk this life completely alone.**

Sometimes the next step in your healing isn't another prayer. Sometimes it's simply getting up, walking through the doors, and allowing God to show you that, safe community still exists.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but be who God called YOU to be. Not anyone else, YOU. Find your identity in Christ, not the world.

About That Life In Christ

I don't know who needs to hear this today, but keep going. I understand that it's tough, but don't let anything in your path keep you from breaking through. It's right around the corner, and it will hit your life when you least expect it. God is faithful and always keeps His promises to you. No matter what you believe, He is always working things out on your behalf.

In the silence, He is working.
In the uncertainty, He is working.
When your faith is slowly failing, He is working.
In your weakness, He is working.

Have faith and keep bombarding heaven with your cries, tears, and prayers.

Isaiah 62:6-7 says, "I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth."

He hears you even when you don't think so.

Love you, but God loves you more :)

About That Life In Christ

DAILY BREAD (2.11.2025)

Hey, hey you guys! Good morning and Happy Tuesday!

I just wanted to come on here this morning and say that whatever you are going through at this very moment, God has a plan for you.

Isaiah 41:10(CSB) says, do not fear or be dismayed for I am with you; I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

God wants to help you and deliver you from all things. Most of us are crippling with doubt and anxiety, not knowing if we are going to see another day or if we are able to survive with what's going on in the world around us. Just know that we serve a BIG GOD, and he will set us free from all bondages that we have in our lives. We have to have BIG FAITH in knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). Take the time to thank God for everything that he has brought you out of, what he's doing in your lives now, and for what he will do in the future. When we give God praise and gratitude every single day, a sense of peace fills our hearts, knowing that regardless of the opposition and affliction that we are facing, God will always be right there to keep us safe. When you draw near to God, he will draw near to you. (James 4:8). Talk to your father. When you lay down your burdens to him and surrender them up to him in prayer, he will help you. All you have to do is let him.

If this truly encouraged you, leave a heart in the comments down below.

I pray that you all have an AMAZING Tuesday! I love you all, Be Blessed (:
