i've been thinking about the whole missa situation, and honestly, i do understand why she did what she did. what she did wasn't okay, and i'm not trying to excuse it at all, but i also understand that she wasn't really in the right state of mind that day and she wanted to know what it felt like to have friends actually stand up for you. i know it might sound stupid to some people, but i can understand where that feeling came from, especially as someone who's quite empathetic and can understand why people do things even when their actions are wrong and i do relate to her in a way and get her.
she knows she could've lost some genuinely good friends because of this, and from what she's said, she's deeply sorry. she also knows that saying sorry doesn't magically make everything okay or mean everyone has to forgive her straight away. she took a few days to properly own up to it, but she eventually did, and i think that matters too.
i'm not saying everything is suddenly forgiven or forgotten, because trust doesn't just come back instantly. i might take some time away from her or just not talk as much for a while, especially since i'll probably be busy anyway, but i don't hate her and i don't think this one mistake has to completely erase our friendship. maybe i'll forgive her sooner because i'm an empath and i know what it's like to feel like you just want someone to have your back. i understand the feeling behind it, even though i don't agree with how she went about it.
