Are you in a test?
Have you ever felt like God was saying something, then it felt like He wasn't? This can be a confusing thing if you are not Biblically aware of testing in the Bible.
I want you to think about Abraham and Issac for a second. God told Abraham to sacrifice his son and then He told him not to.
"But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” Genesis 22:11-12
Maybe if you feel like God "changed" His mind, and it is making you feel confused on what God is saying---it is possible you were in a test.
We also see that the Bible tells us the "the word of the Lord tested Joseph until the time of his word was to come to pass". Psalm 105:19
We also see our very Lord and savior be tested in the wilderness.
There are tests. Sometimes if you feel like God is saying something you wouldn't think He would say, He may be testing you and as you start walking towards it in obedience He may say. "I was just testing you. Stop doing that."
This is an important part of the prophetic as it can seem like a word is "wrong" when maybe God was just testing a person to see their reaction/response.
