Nobody's coming to save you, brother, and the world will never apologize for being cold. Black economic survival is the foundation: income you control, assets you own, knowledge you pass down. That's the daily focus at The Black Business School β turning Black men from earners into owners. The future belongs to the prepared. Make your choice today at BoyceWatkins.com.
Let's say what nobody wants to say: Fatherless homes are destroying Black wealth more than any racist system. When fathers are present, families stabilize, children thrive, and money compounds across generations. BoyceWatkins.com #Fatherhood#BlackWealth#GenerationalWealth#B1
My son's 23-year-old friend came to me and asked how he could start a business.
He was in college. He didn't want to get a regular job, and he'd heard that there are better ways to make money if you're willing to put in the work.
I sat him and his buddy down and explained some basics on how to make money, similar to what I've explained to the men at Morehouse.
Within about two months, the two guys came back to me and told me they'd had their first $10,000 month. I thought that was pretty amazing, and I pretty much assumed that was all there was. I also told them that the goal was to save and invest that money, enjoy some of it, and make sure they also handle their responsibilities.
I saw this young man again at the All Black National Convention. He turned and casually said to me that, because of the conversations we had that got him and his friend started, he'd had his first $100,000 month.
During the convention, he bought a brand-new BMW with cash so that he could drive the car home from the convention while his business partner flew to another part of the world.
I love seeing young Black men live free. I love seeing them live as executives and not as somebody's slave. As long as you're saving and investing your money and making sure that you plan for the future, it is perfectly fine to have fun. There's nothing about saving and investing that requires you to live like a Spartan or to live on the bare minimum.
God meant for your life to be one of abundance.

They say money can't buy happiness. But it can buy something pretty damn close.
Studies show three things are required for happiness, at least on the basic level: 1. A sense of purpose β doing something meaningful, not doing a whole bunch of nothing. 2. Growth β growing in whatever you're doing. If you can't grow in your job, grow in your personal time. 3. Freedom β freedom and autonomy are essential for a fulfilled human experience.
Too many people in capitalist America don't feel free. That's why anxiety, sadness, and depression are at an all-time high.
