Songs of a Bard
"Pick Me, Paladin" is finally here on Spotify. 😈☀️
Not every familiar comes from a summoning circle.
Some fly down from the rafters.
Some polish your holy symbol until the vampires leave town.
Some get struck by their own prayer and keep trying anyway.
This is an upbeat medieval fantasy tavern song about a tiny red imp who wants to be a paladin's familiar more than anything — and a paladin who keeps saying a devil can't walk with a knight of the sun.
Armor buffed overnight with a thimble of oil.
Ten fingers bandaged from holy water.
A stew that glows and hums after one bad blessing.
No pact.
No contract in letters of gold.
Only a shoulder to ride on, offered to a friend.
Raise your glass high.
This toast is for everyone who was told they were the wrong kind to be picked — and got picked anyway.
And keep a chair ready — "Split It Five Ways" arrives Oct 27. 🍺

"I Said Mouse" is finally here on Spotify. 🐭🧀
Not every scout gets the name she earned.
Some pick every lock and still get handed the rinds.
Some smell the river through solid stone.
Some lead four heroes out of a sealed crypt by whisker alone.
This is an upbeat medieval fantasy tavern song about a little mousefolk scout who keeps getting called "Rat" by her own party — until the day she's the only one who can find the way out.
A trap clicks shut.
The portcullis falls.
And four big heroes crawl single file through the muck behind the smallest one.
No statue.
No ballad in the capital.
Only a plate of sharp, aged cheese, and a fighter who finally gets her name right.
Raise your glass high.
This toast is for everyone who's tired of spelling their name twice.
And keep a chair ready — "Pick Me, Paladin" arrives Oct 23. 🍺

"You Have to Invite Me In" is finally here on Spotify. 🦇🍺
Not every stranger at the window wants to cause harm.
Some only want to hear the room up close.
Some learned your favorite songs through the glass.
Some have waited a hundred nights for two small words.
This is a tender medieval fantasy tavern song about a lonely vampire bard who sings outside every inn, because she cannot cross a threshold until someone asks her in.
Coins left on the sill.
Smiles tossed through the rain.
Then one night in a harbor town, a little halfling pushes the door wide open.
No grand rescue.
No curse broken.
Only a chair by the hearth, and a dozen mugs raised to the stranger of the night.
Raise your glass softly.
This toast is for everyone still waiting on the doorstep.
And keep a chair ready — "I Said Mouse" arrives Oct 20. 🍺

"I Always Come Back" is finally here on Spotify. 🐾🍺
Not every guardian carries a sword.
Some catch you when the bridge gives way.
Some are gone before you know who saved you.
Some are already behind the bar in the next town.
This is a tender medieval fantasy folk ballad about a blink dog in a woman's shape, quietly following the traveler she always finds again.
The same red braid. The same watchful ears.
A drink waiting before the pack comes off.
She understands every word, but her own voice only comes out as a bark.
So she learns to sing what she cannot say.
And tonight, the traveler finally asks her name.
No grand speech.
No reward for all those unseen rescues.
Only someone looking up and seeing who has been there all along.
Raise your glass gently, traveler.
This toast is for the faithful companions we sometimes forget to thank.

"They Don't Plug Their Ears" is finally here on Spotify. 🪽🍺
Not every songbird gets a welcome.
Some rooms reach for candle wax.
Some hear a curse before the first note.
Some pull out a chair and ask for another song.
This is a warm, rowdy medieval fantasy tavern song about a harpy bard and the outsiders who welcome her voice.
The priest brought earplugs. His goat preferred the music.
At the back, a tiefling keeps time with her tail.
A half-orc spills his ale. A minotaur sings gloriously off-key.
Then a stranger arrives, afraid to let her own voice out.
No wax at this table.
No perfect voices required.
Only a chair pulled closer, and a room ready to join in.
Raise your glass, and make room for one more.
This toast is for everyone who found a welcome among the ones who never quite fit in.

"Answer Me This" is finally here on Spotify. 🦁❓
Not every question gets a straight answer.
Some come back as riddles.
Some come back as riddles about omelettes.
Some come back plain — and nobody listens.
This is a playful medieval fantasy tavern song about a sphinx bard who answers every question with a riddle, and the one night she didn't.
The ranger is still following gutters.
The fighter guessed everything but the egg.
The cleric never finished his wine.
Then came the cellar door.
No riddle.
No warning anyone believed.
Only forty angry geese and one very cranky bear.
Raise your glass, and think before you drink it.
This toast is for everyone who ever said "I told you so" — and meant it plainly.
And keep a chair ready — "They Don't Plug Their Ears" arrives Oct 9. 🍺

"Inches of Fury" is finally here on Spotify. 🧚🪓
Not every warrior is tall.
Some fit in a cleric's pocket.
Some get held up to keyholes for light.
Some fly up a dragon's nose, axe first.
This is a rowdy medieval fantasy tavern song about a three-inch fairy barbarian who is done being picked up.
The rogue still calls her a lantern.
The fighter still asks her to check his wounds.
Half the roof came down that night.
She was the only one who didn't run.
No thank-you.
No cheering past the count of three.
Only a warm pocket, a mint, and one dead dragon.
Raise your glass high, and mind where you put your thumb.
This toast is for everyone who was ever underestimated by their size.
And keep a chair ready — "Answer Me This" arrives Oct 6. 🍺

"It Wasn't Supposed to Explode" is finally here on Spotify. 💥🍺
Not every invention is meant to work.
Some rattle.
Some smoke.
Some take the ceiling with them.
This is an upbeat medieval fantasy tavern song about a gnome artificer who has never once gotten it right the first time.
The baker hides the bread when she walks in.
Then pulls up a chair anyway.
Her goggles melted. Her eyebrows went with them.
The little brass wings still beat.
No refunds.
No working prototypes.
Only a new hole in the roof, and the best seat in the house.
Raise your glass high, and maybe take a step back.
This toast is for everyone who keeps building after the third explosion.
And keep a chair ready — "Inches of Fury" arrives Oct 2. 🍺

Songs of a Bard
5,000 of you now. 🍺
Last time I said there were 3,000 chairs at the table.
I was wrong about one thing — it stopped being one table.
Somewhere along the road, a kobold took a post at a door nobody asked her to guard, and a whole tavern slept easier.
A gnoll sat down when the coin came out, and for once they didn't stop counting at five.
Someone swore a minotaur was harmless, and you believed them.
And a fairy barely three inches tall picked a fight with a dragon.
I only sang about them.
You're the ones who carried them to the next town.
So that's what 5,000 means to me.
Not a bigger room. More roads, more doors, more taverns where someone already knows the words.
The round is on the house tonight — wherever you're sitting.
One question before the next song:
Who should I meet at the next tavern?
A race, a class, a trouble they can't stop getting into — tell me, and I'll keep an ear out.
Thank you. Truly.
See you down the road. 🍺

"Can We Keep Him?" is out now on Spotify. 🐾🍺
You remember the goblin girl who held out a turnip to six drawn swords.
Well. She found something in the cellar.
One ear bent. One tooth missing. Ribs all in a row.
He bit her hand the second she reached for him.
So she let him keep on biting, because she knows exactly what that's about.
This is an upbeat medieval fantasy tavern song, and the sequel to "Can We Keep Her?".
This time it's her down on her knees, asking the party the very same question.
The wizard says there's no more room.
The cleric wants him on the ledger.
The barbarian named him twenty seconds in.
She built him a little chair, three legs cut short and all.
The way somebody once built one for her.
Raise your glass high.
This toast is for everyone who was let in once, and turned around to hold the door.
