Two trades. Which one gets the better PROCESS grade?
Trader A makes money—but skips the planned entry and changes the exit on a hunch.
Trader B loses money—but follows the written setup, position size, and exit rules.
My answer: B.
The loss still needs review. But Trader B gave us a clear record of how the plan performed.
Trader A gave us a profitable result that may be hard to repeat.
That matters when you’re building a swing trading routine.
Practice should help you answer: “Can I follow these rules consistently?”
And if your setup never triggers, waiting can be a well-executed decision, too.
