I am a guy who went out of his way to build an old PC and run Windows Me on it.

*Don't ask for request! I'm somewhat retired & upload whenever I feel like it.*

Dreamcast is a bit of a hybrid system with an Arcade CPU and a PC GPU.

Playstation 2 has the strangest hardware and it's the most console-like out of all of them.

Gamecube basically used a Mac CPU and an ATI GPU that was specifically made for that system.

Xbox is the most PC-like out of all of them. Running a Pentium III and a modified Geforce 3 that would later become the Geforce 4 ti.

Speaking of Atari, they're bringing back the Atari 800XL.

Kinda similar to the Commodore 64 Maxi, it's got a replica design with a functioning keyboard running on a emulator with 25 built-in games and the option to add more games using USB and a functioning cartridge slot. *BASIC included*

The Atari 800 XL was released in 1983 and it was basically Atari saying "We're sorry the Atari 1200 XL had issues. Here, we fixed it and made it $300!"

$300 for a 64kb PC in 1983 is actually a hell of a deal, and indeed it was since it's Atari's highest selling PC and the closest competitor against the Commodore 64.

If the Atari 7800 was bundled with both TIA and POKEY.

TIA (aka, Atari 2600 soundchip) has 2 sound channels with a variety of waveforms. Though it feels like playing with a half-broken piano with sounds being very off-tuned.

POKEY (commonly for Atari 8-bit PC's and Atari 5200) has 4 sound channels with a variety of waveforms. While it's still a little off-tuned, it is better in-tuned than the TIA, good enough to make music with.

With both of these combined, you could use the TIA for sound effects with POKEY as music.

What I like to do is use TIA for Drums and Bass with POKEY as lead, backup, and cymbals.

That's 6 channels with changeable waveforms vs the 5 channels the NES has with fixed waveforms. (2 pulse, 1 triangle, 1 white noise, and 1 DPCM)

I'd say the Wii has more software mods while the OG Xbox has more hardware mods.

Wii you can have custom themes, reviving dead applications, new applications, reviving online, emulation, and game mods. Wii does have some hardware mods like custom sensor bars, HDMI mods, and USB type C mods, or using a large SD Card or External Hard Drive for storing games.

Xbox you can upgrade the CPU, upgrade the RAM, upgrade the Storage with a bigger HDD or an SDD for backing up and storing games, and of course HDMI mods. Xbox does have some software mods with some custom themes, reviving Xbox Live, HD patches, and emulation.

Dreamcast has a few hardware mods as well including an ODE like GDemu, Power Supply mods, 32mb ram mod, HDMI mods, and VMU memory card mods.
