💔🐴 This poor girl can barely move.
She has a leg wound caused by a sharp object, and it has become infected. The pain is likely so severe that she refuses to walk.
🙏 She needs veterinary examination and treatment as soon as possible. We simply want to get her to a safe place where she can receive proper care and a chance to recover.

Unfortunately, due to the severity of the injuries, recovery was virtually impossible; even with healing, she would have remained severely disabled.
That would have been the best-case scenario. More likely, given the severity of the wounds and the time spent without treatment, the joints would soon become infected, leading to systemic infection.
Our veterinarian felt that even in the best-case scenario, her quality of life would be extremely poor. Therefore, we made the difficult decision to let her go.
Not every story ends the way we hope, but thanks to you, we can make a difference in their lives—showing them love, even if the time we have with them is short.
This is the rescue.
We love you, Ree.
These were her final moments before being freed from her broken body. The veterinarian administered a strong dose of pain relief immediately upon arrival.
Next came plenty of water, grain, and treats.
Her final moments were filled with kindness.

💔🐴 Her knee… it truly breaks our hearts.
It is heartbreaking to see her in such a state and realize she still needs to be transported, even though moving her is already incredibly difficult.
This poor mare with the severely injured knee will be added to the list of animals we are raising funds to help. 🤍
We won't know her exact condition until a veterinarian examines her. But we want to give her the chance to be examined, cared for, and brought to a safe place.
