Grateful to see my personal story featured in BusinessLine! 📰🙏
I’m delighted to share that my article, “Getting Out of a Debt Trap”, has been published in BusinessLine – Your Money, in the Sunday edition.
This article is deeply personal. It reflects my journey through F&O trading losses, mounting loans, high-interest borrowings, and the difficult process of rebuilding my financial life.
Through this experience, I learned some of the most important lessons about money and life:
🔹 Trading losses should never become a debt trap. Borrowing money to recover losses can turn a difficult situation into a much bigger financial crisis.
🔹 Financial discipline matters more than the urge to recover quickly. Accepting a loss is painful, but chasing losses can make things worse.
🔹 Debt management requires honesty and a clear plan. Understanding outstanding balances, interest rates, EMIs, and repayment priorities is the first step towards regaining control.
🔹 Personal experiences can become powerful lessons. I hope my story encourages others to recognise financial warning signs early, seek help when needed, and rebuild their financial lives with patience and discipline.
My sincere thanks to the businessline and Hari Viswanath editorial team for publishing my article and providing a platform to share this important message with a wider audience.
I also hope this story reaches anyone struggling with trading losses or debt. Remember, a financial setback does not have to define your future. Acknowledging the problem and taking the first step towards recovery can make all the difference.

Another proud milestone — my latest article, “Scams Behind the Trading Screen,” featured in BusinessLine’s Sunday edition!
I’m happy to share my article:
“Scams Behind the Trading Screen”
The stock market has become increasingly accessible through trading apps and digital platforms. While this has opened up opportunities for millions of investors, it has also created new avenues for fraudsters to exploit unsuspecting participants.
In this article, I discuss some of the common scams investors need to watch out for, including:
🔹 Fake trading and investment apps
🔹 Guaranteed-return promises
🔹 Impersonation of brokers and market professionals
🔹 Pump-and-dump schemes
🔹 Fake IPO and investment opportunities
🔹 Social-media and messaging-app based frauds
🔹 Psychological tactics used to build trust and pressure investors into transferring money
The most important message is simple:
In the financial markets, protecting your capital begins with protecting yourself from fraud.
Investors should always verify before they trust, research before they invest, and never act under pressure or the promise of guaranteed returns.
I’m grateful to BusinessLine for providing a platform to create awareness around this important issue.
As someone who has spent years in the capital markets and financial education, I strongly believe that investor education is one of the most effective tools against financial fraud.
🙏 Thank you to the BusinessLine team for the opportunity and recognition.
Read. Verify. Think. Then Invest.

18th BRICS SUMMIT Update:
1. 18th BRICS Summit New Delhi: The 18th BRICS Summit was held in New Delhi on 12–13 September 2026, with India as the 2026 BRICS Chair. The theme was “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”
2. 11 full members: BRICS has expanded from the original 5 to 11 countries
3. BRICS is economically very large: The 11 BRICS members together account for approximately
* global GDP - 40%
* world's population - 49.5%
* global trade - 26% So, this is now a major global economic grouping, not just a small emerging-market group.
4. India's global role: China and Russia supported India's greater role in the UN Security Council.
5. Trade: BRICS wants stronger WTO rules and is concerned about unilateral tariffs and trade barriers.
6. De-dollarisation: More use of local currencies and better cross-border payment systems; no common BRICS currency was launched.
7. The New Development Bank(NDB BANK): is the common development bank created by BRICS to finance infrastructure and sustainable-development projects. BRICS is looking to strengthen the NDB, expand its membership and increase local-currency financing. The NDB was established with US$100 billion authorised capital and US$50 billion initial subscribed capital..
8. AI & technology: Cooperation in AI, digital public infrastructure, cybersecurity and startups.
9. Critical minerals & energy: Focus on minerals needed for EVs, batteries and electronics, along with energy security.
10. Sectors to watch: biggest long-term themes are
* Infrastructure,
* Banking/Financial Services,
* Energy, EV & Batteries
* Critical Minerals,
* Manufacturing
* AI/IT & Cybersecurity.
11. BRICS is not an anti-West bloc: India has emphasized that “BRICS is not against anyone.” This is important because India wants BRICS to remain a platform for economic cooperation and Global South representation, rather than becoming a group directly opposed to the US or the West.
12. India - China relationship:Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to India after 7 years is significant. PM Modi stressed that peace and stability along the India-China border are essential for normalising bilateral relations. This could be important for India's broader geopolitical and economic outlook.
13. India - Russia trade: India and Russia reiterated their target of taking bilateral trade to US$100 billion by 2030. This highlights the importance of the India–Russia relationship, particularly in energy, defence and trade.
Medium to long term themes - (capital goods, Financials, construction, power, renewable energy, EV/battery supply chains, mining/critical minerals, logistics, digital payments, IT and cybersecurity.)
these are medium to long-term themes.
