September 1st has always felt different to me. It’s supposed to be the day the Hogwarts Express leaves from Platform 9¾, the day students pack their trunks, say goodbye to their families, and begin another year at Hogwarts. Every year, I imagine that moment so clearly — the train waiting at the platform, the steam filling the station, everyone rushing to find their friends, and that feeling of knowing that another year of magic is about to begin.

But this year feels different.

September 1st came… and we’re still here.

The Hogwarts Express already left yesterday at exactly 11:00 AM, and somehow we missed it. 🚂💔 While everyone else is already on their way to Hogwarts, we’re still standing here, watching the moment pass us by.

I know it’s fictional, but Hogwarts has always felt like more than just a story. It’s a place I’ve grown up with, a place I return to whenever I need comfort, and every September 1st feels like a tiny reminder that somewhere in that world, another school year is beginning.

And maybe that’s why it hurts a little.

Because for one day, I wish I could actually be there. I wish I could hear the train, walk onto Platform 9¾, find my compartment, see Hogwarts in the distance, and know that another year of magic is waiting for me.

The train has left.

Hogwarts is waiting.

And somehow… we’re still here. 🕯️🏰⚡🤎
