Tank video will be coming out this Friday (maybe later in the evening Friday instead of in the morning cus Deadlock swept away an entire evening from me).
Imma be dropping what was supposed to just be my Halloween video this Friday instead of at the end of the month because I frankly ain't fucking with this weeks video and wanna redo it or at least majorly restructure it. That said this weeks upload should hopefully at least be mildly amusing and even if it doesn't do well I'd rather get something out than nothing at all.
I’ve gotten slightly burnt out of Helldivers recently and while I’m not gonna make it everyone else’s problem. I feel like while I'm more critical I should air out some of my issues with the current state of the game and give my general thoughts on the devoid of liberty update. Firstly, content wise I loved devoid of liberty and thought it introduced some pretty cool stuff. However, the fact that there is no real way to interact with even half of the content introduced for the squids now because it was all locked to the void is insane to me. I get that the void was closed and it’s only fair to us that the void stays closed for a good chunk of time. But not having the squids try and make it again forcing us to either constantly deal with them or risk having another big void situation occur just seems like a missed opportunity. It's as if Arrowhead themselves didn’t want to give the squids any time in the spotlight for more than a week or two. They are treated more like a cool backdrop than a faction at this point.
The second thing I wanted to bring up is that I personally just kinda hate the state of balance currently. Weapon wise I think most weapons in HD2 are fine enough and while there are a few OP weapons that I think need to be brought down and weak ones that need to be buffed. I understand why AH is so hesitant to do anything to them and I can live with that. But I still can’t believe that diff 10 being casually beaten has been so normalized. Soloing diff 10 should be some divine feat and be the ultimate challenge for a helldiver. But damn near everyone has beaten a diff 10 solo at least once now it feels. And while I don’t wanna take away from anyone who has done it, I think you can admit that it’s far from similar challenges in other games. Diff 10 in should feel like a difficult deep dive mission in DRG. Not just the same shit as Diff 9. Frankly I couldn’t even tell you the difference between diffs 8-10 besides maybe a few less heavy units coming at you at once on diff 8.
I might make a video at some point elaborating further on this topic but overall, I just feel like HD2 has a difficulty issue and seems to be becoming less of a co-op based horde shooter and more so a solo one that just so happens to have 4 player lobbies.

I'm sure everyone is more than aware but the devs of the HD2 Companion app were outed as saying some pretty fucked stuff and also partaking and watching some pretty fucked stuff. Primary loli and a stuff of that variety (No irl CP was found but a few devs and mods made strange comments such as "kids who get groomed are just stupid" leading me to think that they likely would be willing to engage in such content). While loli nsfw isn't illegal in most places, I think that anyone with common sense knows legality does not equate to morality. Especially in a case like this. ThighNir was the one who blew the whole thing up in the first place and I believe its on all his socials so if you want the full story get it there. I normally don't see much stuff on HD2 community wise or get into drama but personally I find the shit abhorrent and had to at least shine more light onto the situation. Have a good day yall.
Alright so my shotgun video is going to be pushed back till Friday. I want to have my upload day be towards the end of the week instead of in the middle so this video will be the start of that new schedule change. However I don't plan on leaving you guys out to dry on Wednesday. I'll still put out a upload about the leaked warbond trailer and give my thoughts on it. As well as maybe a gameplay video on Evolve if I can get a match in with my friends tonight. Just figured I'd let my 3 loyal fans (all 3 of you goated btw) in on the change so it doesn't just come out of nowhere.
