I had met the requirements a week or so ago, but I still had to wait for AdSense approval and then for YouTube’s channel review. But it’s official! I’m a YouTube Partner. Insanity.

If you would’ve asked me if I thought I was going to be a YT partner this year just one year ago, I would’ve laughed and said, “I’ll get there one day” but never thinking one year was possible.

I think of myself as somebody who enjoys creating content and striving to make people laugh, but never think of myself as a “content creator” or “social media influencer” but rather a hobbyist who feels lucky to have discovered a new passion.

I picked up streaming after discovering it during the COVID outbreak and social distancing… then moving to a small town from a big city.

I needed an outlet to socialize, meet other LGBTQ+ people, allies, and likeminded individuals because I’ve always had a strong desire to be unapologetically myself when this corporate world doesn’t really allow for it. And even though I admire and congratulate social media influencers for learning the ins and outs of their crafts to be successful at it, I don’t think I could I could do the salesy, fake-glam life, or model-esque aspects of social media that many seem to do so well at curating.

I picked up live streaming, not because I’m a competitive gamer… sometimes I wonder if I’m even a “gamer…” but I started streaming because I wanted to be an engaging and entertaining person with unique hot takes and sense of humor that encourages other progressives that they, too, can be liberal, flamboyant, queer, open-minded, and controversial.

Controversial seems odd to throw in there, but what I mean is, I think most left-leaning liberal people, especially streamers, especially LGBTQ streamers, are often shells of a personality that are constantly overthinking how to avoid crossing the line, and stay in their “afraid to offend bubble,” so far away from stating an actual opinion that you feel like you’re never getting their genuine perspective on things and, in the end, don’t actually “know” the person you’re watching.

My goal on social media, YouTube, live-streaming is to make people laugh, encourage others to be authentic, unafraid to be “wrong,” remain curious, and always introspective.

Authenticity is hard and it’s impossible to be 100% authentic, but many who see my videos, watch my streams, and know me IRL, will tell you, that is the same person you will see when meeting me in-person. (Maybe slightly less makeup 😉)

I’m going off on a tangent… anyways, I wrote all of this right now simply to say thank you. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for watching, liking, subscribing, donating, lurking, chatting, being here and even taking the time to read this. Nobody deserves attention, but I’m grateful if I’ve earned yours.

Normally when I post a YouTube Short, they get a majority of their views within 24 hours and then will get a straggler couple of views... and by that I mean like less than 10 a week.

This short that I posted, youtube.com/shorts/B37jbuTYQ6c, has been getting a few hundred a day and I just want to clarify what this video means and my intention behind it in case anyone is wondering.

I'm a very small streamer and a most of the people who are subscribed to me and watch my videos, have watched a majority of my videos, know me, my sense of humor and my belief system because I'm very vocal about them.

BUT JUST IN CASE you don't know me and aren't able to read between the lines of this YouTube Short, because it IS pretty vague and would require a bit of context to understand if you're kind of just flippantly watching it... as I think is fair to say, is a pretty general way we all watch short videos.

Here we go:

This is probably simple to understand but use the beginning portion of this video and then show two clips that are similar. It's a pretty old video in the TikTok-trend sense but I was reminded of it and the Jeffree Star video because of a moment that happened during one of MY streams on Twitch recently where I shaded non-binary people. The context of that clip is my friend is suggesting that I would be friends with someone because of, what to me sounded like the only reason was, them being non-binary... Now, there's a couple of things that go along with that:
- The assumption that I'm nonbinary
- The assumption that all nonbinary people are alike thus will be friends with each other.

I am not non-binary and use he/him pronouns. I don't actually fully understand the concept of non-binary fully yet but I have some hot takes on the concept that I don't think a lot people agree with but a lot of people don't disagree with it too. Put simply: I don't believe in the binary. I don't believe objects are gendered... makeup... clothes... necklaces etc... Something that men do in America, women do in another country and vice versa. Jobs like public relations used to be mail dominated, are now female dominated. I believe ALL people are non-binary and our perception of gender is personal and influenced by how we've experienced life and the expectations we've personally attached to different genders based on those biases.

I don't believe women should be housewives because they're women and I don't think men shouldn't be househusbands because they're men. I don't have expectations for what women and men do because I have a non-binary expectation of the behaviors of men and women.

I I grew up using he/him pronouns and I'm not uncomfortable using them. Using they/them pronouns doesn't make me feel more comfortable. In fact, I dislike them. I dislike that I'll be with a group of people and the only person that gets asked for their pronouns is me. -- What this does NOT mean, is that I don't respect non-binary people or respect they/them pronouns. I'm solely talking about they/them pronouns in reference to ME and how I frequently am put into a position of talking about "why I wear makeup, feminine clothes, etc... but aren't nonbinary." I also like writing and I think they/them pronouns do make language a little complicated. BUTTTTTT I do believe they/them is ALSO a singular pronoun and has been used singularly for LONG before being non-binary was a hot topic, that when I meet someone who ways they/them is ONLY plural.... I think that person is very stupid.

I am happy to be constantly asked my pronouns because when I see the trans and non-binary vitriol aimed at me in the comment sections of videos that I post, along with experiences in my real life, I relate to SOME of the experiences trans and non-binary people have. I AM and will ALWAYS BE an advocate for the trans and non-binary community.

This doesn't mean I don't have disagreements with people who are trans or non-binary, but I don't think trans or non-binary people are a monolith so when I disagree with one random concept I don't think my disagreement is with the trans or non-binary community but with the one person whose opinion I'm disagreeing with at the time of having that conversation.

I work at the bank" because it's to point out when people are hypocritical and doing what they're criticizing.

- My friend for assuming I'm non-binary and that all non-binary people will be friends just because they're non-binary.
- Jeffree Star for being rude, unempathetic and a little hypocritical
- Myself for sounding like Jeffree Starr


I want my content to be a haven for gender and sexual minorities like myself to be fun, funny, and a little non-PC because I think it's ok for our community to have a sense of humor without walking on eggshells around each other, and I will die on that hill.

But I will, also, never respect a conservative. LGBTQ+ or otherwise.

Not all liberals are offended by everything… in fact… most are not.

I think it’s why republicans get mad when they hear liberal people say they wouldn’t date/be friends with a Republican since conservatives actually feel extremely comfortable when mingling with liberals. They know that, in reality, liberals generally don’t sit there nitpicking “micro-aggressions” or quaking in rage if you don’t ask for their pronouns… liberals don’t actually say/do anything directly hateful to conservatives and few even do the “annoying” things the conservative internet would have you believe.

However, republicans will comfortably say/do something hateful that directly impacts you with a smile on their face and be confused as to why you choose not to engage with them.

My live stream community is not overly-sensitive and thoroughly enjoys an offensive joke and dark humor, but the humor is predicated on the comments being understood as a joke and not a “I’m going laugh while I say my evil belief out loud and just call it a joke for plausible deniability.”

So if you’re a progressive GSM (Gender and/or Sexual Minority), or one of our allies, with an appropriately edgy or even gallows sense of humor… I hope to see you at one of my Live Streams! 😘🤘🏽hail satan 😈
