🇮🇪🛒 OUR GROCERY SHOPPING IN IRELAND — WHY CAN’T I BUY IN BULK?! 😂

Today’s grocery shopping haul! 🛒❤️
Coming from Africa, I’m so used to buying certain groceries in bulk… but here in Ireland, I keep finding myself looking at the shelves like: “1kg? 2kg? THAT’S IT?! 😂😂”

And don’t even get me started on the flour section! 🤣
Plain flour.
Bread flour. Self-raising flour. 🍞🥞🍰
Apparently, every flour has its own job!
Anyway, this is what I bought today 🇮🇪🛒👇🏽
Moving to a new country really teaches you that even something as simple as grocery shopping can be a whole new experience! 😂❤️

Honestly, social media will humble you! 😂
So I've learned one thing: DON'T OVERTHINK CONTENT.

Love Should Not Be Built on Betrayal
This is becoming a serious problem, and honestly, we need to start talking about these things more.💔

I watched a podcast where women in a polygamous setup were discussing relationships, and one woman said she doesn't mind dating a married man because, “If he tells you he is married, it means he is honest and he loves you.”
Honestly, NO! 🚫
Knowing that a man is married does not make betrayal acceptable.
Honesty about being married does not cancel the commitment he made to his wife.
There are wives who are hurting, families being broken, children growing up in painful circumstances, and women being pushed into bitterness and competition—all because some people have normalized relationships built on betrayal.

There was a time when society strongly discouraged young women from dating married men.
Some men even lied that their wives had died because they knew the truth would make women reject them.
Today, sadly, some people know a man is married and still see his marriage as an opportunity.
We have to ask ourselves: What are we teaching the next generation? 😔
We know some of you makakurira pabarika,hamuna empathy,hamuna basa nazvo But wherever children are taught hatred, competition, disrespect or that another person's pain doesn't matter, those lessons can have consequences if they are carried into adulthood.

Girls, please empower yourselves. ❤️
Don't allow hunger, financial struggles or material things to convince you that becoming involved with a married man is your only option.
Education, skills, financial independence and self-worth can give you choices.
And men, please love and respect the women you promised to love.
If you are married, protect your marriage instead of creating another relationship behind your wife's back.
Marriage should not be a battlefield where women compete for a man's attention while children watch their families fall apart.

🏠 THE REALITY OF THE HOUSING CRISIS IN IRELAND 🇮🇪
Guys, one thing we have learned since moving to Ireland is that finding accommodation can feel almost like looking for a job. 😭🏠

You can send enquiries for 50, 60 or even 75 advertised properties and receive one response—or sometimes none at all. Some letting agents even state that they receive hundreds of applications and simply cannot respond to everyone.
When applying, you may be asked for your name, occupation, income, previous rental history, references or recommendations from previous landlords, and other documents to show that you can afford the property.
And then comes the cost. 😭
A studio apartment in Dublin can start around €1,000 per month, a one-bedroom can be around €1,200+, while a two-bedroom can easily be €2,200+, depending on the location and property. And that's before adding electricity, heating, internet and other household expenses.
What makes it even more difficult is that high rent doesn't necessarily mean luxury accommodation.
You can see properties that are very basic, small or far from what you would consider ideal, yet they can still be very expensive.

For many families, accommodation can take a very large portion of their monthly income, leaving less money for food, transport, childcare, bills and everything else.
We actually started looking for accommodation six months before we relocated to Ireland. We sent enquiries and applications, but we hardly received responses.
Eventually, after arriving in Ireland, we started getting a few opportunities to view properties—but there were still very few options to choose from.
So when you see someone celebrating finally getting a home in Ireland, please understand that there may be a very long and stressful journey behind that celebration. ❤️
Ireland is a beautiful country, and we are grateful for the opportunities and experiences we are having here. 🇮🇪❤️
But the housing crisis is a very real challenge, especially for newcomers and families trying to establish themselves.
This isn't shared to discourage anyone from coming to Ireland.
It's simply our experience and a reminder to research accommodation and the cost of living carefully before relocating.
Sometimes the hardest part of starting a new chapter isn't getting the visa or booking the flight…
It's finding somewhere you can actually call home. 🏠❤️🇮🇪
