**MAE HONG SON** 🌸
Rolling hills, sea-of-fog viewpoints, and hill tribe culture. One of the most underrated provinces in all of Thailand. Home to the super famous Pai village among tourists. We’ve been to Pai 3 times already.

**PHRAE** 🪵
Teak wood houses, laid-back streets, and a town that feels frozen in the best kind of way. A hidden gem for slow & peaceful travel lovers.

**CHIANG RAI** 🤍
White Temple. Blue Temple. Black House. A city of art and color that deserves way more than a day trip.

**MAE KAMPONG (in Chiang Mai, actually)** 🌫️
A misty mountain village wrapped in coffee farms and waterfalls. Wake up to clouds rolling through the valley — it feels like a different world.

**CHIANG DAO (in Chiang Mai, actually)** ⛰️
Home to one of Thailand's tallest peaks and a legendary cave.

Don’t assume everywhere in Thailand is the same. 🌧️ Some places (especially the famous beaches like Phuket, Krabi) get rough seas, cancelled ferries, and non-stop rain — others are actually amazing this time of year. ❗We’re not saying you shouldn’t go during this season, we actually went to Phuket in the rainy season every year. It’s cheaper, less crowded! But you got to be quite flexible with your plan

Anywho, if you’re not quite flexible and pick the wrong destination, your trip can feel like a waste. In this post, I break down where to go in Thailand during rainy season so you can still have an incredible trip. The rainy season will only enhance the awesomeness of these places in Thailand!
