Update for y'all:

I apologize for the lack of uploads for the past couple of weeks. I'm aiming to resume regular uploads this Friday.

As many of y'all also know, I recently purchased a Sony A6700 camera for my main video rig. Over the past few weeks, I've had many chances to test it's capabilities. It's an excellent camera, but the dealbreaker for me was that the in-body image stabilization (IBIS) just did not work very well in conjunction with my tripod and fluid head. With that being the case, I returned the A6700 and went with a camera that has digital stabilization instead like my FDR-AX700 does, which, in my experience, works better on a tripod.

Say hello to the Sony ZV-E10 II.

What's up, y'all? I got a quick update pertaining to this weekend's plans. It looks like the weather might not hold up for my plans to chase 4501 and the TVRM dinner train. With that being the case, if the weather doesn't improve, which it's not likely to given the circumstances, where should I go instead?

I know it's been a minute since my last update. I've been busy with work and other things as usual, but say hello to the newest addition to my equipment! The Sony A6700 with a Sony 18-135mm lens. Soon to be joined by a Viltrox 15mm lens and couple of variable ND filters! Merry early Christmas to me! 😅

Update for y'all:

Over the past couple of weekends, both of my original plans for those trips fell through, but I intend to make them up sometime in early Fall. For right now, I will be attending the America 250 Locomotive Celebration at the North Carolina Transportation Museum and hopefully briefly visiting the Tweetsie Railroad this weekend. For Labor Day Weekend, ‪@TrainNut85‬ and I will be in Ohio hitting up some hotspots and railfanning the NS Sandusky District & CSXT Willard & Garrett Subs.

I intend to release my planned outings for Fall sometime close to or around Labor Day, so stay tuned!

Update time:

I apologize for the inconsistent uploads, I had some other things come up in my schedule and also needed to get more footage to ensure my upcoming videos feel more complete.

For this week's upload, I will finally have my video from the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad ready for viewing on Friday morning. In the coming next few weeks, I intend to have the My Old Kentucky Dinner Train, Bluegrass Railroad, Southern 4501, and Iron Mountain Railway videos available.

Alright, y'all, update time:

In a couple days, I'll be chasing Milwaukee Road 261 on the America 250 Hiawatha, so expect that video to be uploaded later next week. The weekend after that, I'll be returning to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad to gather more footage of 1702 and (hopefully) 4210. I plan to document the Blue Ridge Railway while in the region as well. That'll do it for my July trips.

In August, starting out, I plan on chasing 4501 on the Summerville Steam Special to gather my last bits of footage for that video. The weekend after that or on the 15th, I'll most likely head up to the Bluegrass Railroad, My Old Kentucky Dinner Train, & the Kentucky Railway Museum to gather more footage of those operations before getting those videos done. On the 22nd, I intend to go back to the Iron Mountain Railway to gather whatever remaining angles I can for my video on 5898. At the end of the month, I'm hoping to attend Tweetsie's Railroad Heritage Weekend.

In September, for the first weekend of the month, ‪@TrainNut85‬ and I will be heading up to Ohio to visit some popular hotspots and see some pther cool stuff. On the 12th, I plan on heading to the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad to document more of their excursion train. On the 19th, I'll be at the Monticello Railway Museum for their Railroad Days event. The final weekend in September will be spent at a photo charter on the Midwest Electric Railway and Midwest Central Railroad in Mount Pleasant, IA.

As we get closer to the fall months, I'll release my tentative schedule of trips and events for the remainder of the year. Stay tuned!
