Marton Mere Local Nature Reserve - Blackpool
Blackpool’s only SSSI-designated nature reserve, Marton Mere is a haven for wildlife, from rare birds to dragonflies and wildflowers. Though owned by Blackpool Council, the reserve is managed entirely by volunteers via the group The Friends of Marton Mere, who are dedicated to preserving and enhancing its diverse habitats.
