The first hour is going to be spent on working the jab to apply pressure to an opponent. The second hour will be using the teep to keep them from getting any funny ideas while you're doing it. The last hour will be fight finishers that you can use once your opponent realizes he can't run away or get closer.
This will be high-level kickboxing strategy and tactics, but the seminar is suitable for all levels of strikers and all rulesets. You will leave this session a better kickboxer than when you arrived. Contact is light to moderate. Boxing gloves and shin guards are mandatory.
The night before we are holding a private training session for instructors, fighters and advanced practitioners. If you are interested in attending that session, be prepared to provide a short bio and sparring footage. Everyone in the room has to know what they are doing because we will be skipping technical details and going straight to tactics, strategy, training methodology and conclude with live sparring. 16 oz gloves, proper shin guards, mouthpiece and cup are mandatory. Email me to get in if you can't through by DM. You can also comment and I will hit you up with details. Only 8 spots are left.
How bad is Jared about to smoke me, here? This is the face I make when I have accepted my fate, but it's still gonna hurt. You may have seen it before.
Pressure fighting is NOT about punching and kicking. The tactical application of pressure in a fight is an offensive strategy, but the techniques you employ are defensive. Moving forward while staying defensively responsible is crucial to not only your success, but also your health and longevity.
I can teach you how to continue fighting and continue moving forward while landing quality shots, maintaining composure and staying relatively safe. We will be using a series of live drills designed to help you develop these skills quickly and apply them to your own style. This is suitable for all levels, but there is moderate contact so bring a mouthguard.
For the advanced/instructor course, I have to personally vet everyone to make sure they're up to speed with contact/sparring. DM me on insta or email to get in.
Are you an instructor, fighter or advanced martial artist? Do all levels seminars feel a little underwhelming? We are launching an advanced seminar format where we show how to construct drills, implement strategies and develop or improve your own striking program. There are reasons for everything we do. There is a reason RKM fighters don't get tired. There is a reason they don't get injured in training. There is a reason that facing one of them in a kickboxing match is brutal and terrifying.
Since this is serious business, we are limiting it to 14 participants in each city. There is sparring, live drilling and real-time coaching exercises. Everyone in the room must be vetted and approved. You don't have to be an expert, but you should be able to at least hang with amateur fighters.
First video in 2 years on my personal channel. Even if you don't give a shit about the topic, could you show the video a little love? I want it to rank high enough to be found by parents before they make the same mistake I did.
One of the only cities in America that scares me! Detroit, I'm coming back! I will be at Black Mountain Defense for a seminar on footwork and angles July 15th.
There are some really specific details that can significantly level up your footwork in just a few hours. We will have you cutting people off and applying IMMENSE pressure through small adjustments in distance and angle... plus you will get to practice and apply it in real time. Contact the guys at www.blackmountaindefense.com/ to get signed up. Space is limited.
