Hi:) I’m Masha—I’m so glad you're here💚
Seeing my son grow up in a world full of hidden food allergens—while navigating my own food sensitivities—is what drives me. That's why I'm building the community I wish I had.
I know this journey can feel heavy. Managing multiple allergens in our home —from wheat and eggs to sesame and nuts—means reinventing how we look at food. That's why we focus on learning to thrive, not just survive, and helping other families feel supported along the way.
Here we’ll connect, educate, and support through:
Trusted GF Recipes: Family-friendly meals where everyone feels included.
Honest Reviews: Real talk on the best (and worst) Gluten-Free products.
Emotional Support: The "invisible" reality of allergies, sensitivities, and Celiac.
Safe Exploration: Tips for travel and dining out.
Coming Late Summer 2026: My new YT-series - Life Without Gluten!

Masha Lives Gluten Free
Hey guys! :) I hope you are all having an amazing week so far!
So, I honestly wasn’t sure whether to share this, but I decided I just had to. This past weekend, my friend Amanda and I hosted a Halloween Walk in honor of Step Up for Celiac month here in Canada. Since it was our first-ever event, we truly didn't know what to expect... but the energy, the costumes, and the incredible community support completely blew us away.
I left feeling so deeply inspired that I realized what the world needs now is...
Check out the video dropping later today to see how it all unfolded! Let me know if these are the types of videos you want to see more of:)

“People aren’t choosing to be gluten-free. They have to be gluten-free. A gluten-free diet is their only medicine.” — RonniLyn Pustil, founder of Gluten Free Garage
I couldn’t think of a more perfect guest to finish off our first season: community powerhouse, Toronto’s gluten-free champion, and founder of Gluten Free Garage, RonniLyn Pustil.
RonniLyn’s own journey into the gluten-free community began when her daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. In this two-part episode, we talk about the reality of raising a child with Celiac Disease — from finding community and support to the journey of building Gluten Free Garage from the ground up. We also talk about finding confidence instead of living in fear when navigating Celiac Disease and food allergies.
RonniLyn shares so much of her personal experience as a mom raising a daughter with Celiac Disease, along with some of her favourite spots in Toronto — so if you’re local or planning a visit, you’ll definitely want to hear these! 😊 — and so much more.

“Gluten is such a unique thing that even if there is a small amount of cross-contamination, there are people who are sensitive to it. We have to make sure that everything is segregated. We cannot go wrong when we are catering to allergies.” — Shreyshi Shree
I am honored to introduce Kumar Ishan, Owner and Chef, and Shreyshi Shree, Co-Owner of Social Llama, as my fifth guests in this series. They are the family behind Toronto’s new midtown vegetarian spot, offering dedicated gluten-free and dairy-free options.
In this episode, we discuss how Chef Ishan and Shreyshi turned a personal journey with dietary needs into a safe, inclusive dining experience. We dive deep into the rigorous kitchen protocols required to restore trust for those who have experienced the trauma of being "glutened."

“We don’t have any restrictions on using lip balm, toothpaste, or skincare products, because the gluten protein is a large molecule that doesn't absorb through the skin... We don’t recommend patients switching skincare products.” — Jedid-Jah Blom, RD
I am honored to introduce Jedid-Jah Blom, a Registered Dietitian at the world renowned Farncombe Family Digestive Health Research Institute (McMaster University) and a recently diagnosed Celiac, as the fourth guest on Life Without Gluten.
In this two-part episode, we focus on silent vitamin and mineral deficiencies, hidden gluten, practical living with celiac disease, and the Mediterranean diet. We also do some 'myth-busting' on common misconceptions about gluten circulating online, and Jedid reviews a few popular gluten-free snack brands for their nutritional value.

“The term ‘gluten-free’ is just a concentration; it doesn’t actually mean that it’s gluten-free for sure. In order for something to be considered gluten-free, it needs to have less than 20 ppm of gluten in the whole cookie, but that’s assuming you only eat one... Those trace amounts of gluten add up. You eat 10, 20, 30, 40, or 100 mg of gluten, and you have gluten exposure from a 'gluten-free' cookie. That’s something I don’t think people are aware of.” — Dr. Mark Wulczynski
I'm honored to introduce Dr. Mark Wulczynski, a medical researcher at the world-renowned Farncombe Family Digestive Health Research Institute at McMaster University, as the third guest on Life Without Gluten. His research focuses on the gut microbiome and fiber intake to help accelerate intestinal healing and improve symptom management for people living with celiac disease.
In this two-part episode, we explore the reasons behind the rise in food allergies and sensitivities, what "gluten-free" really means, how cumulative gluten exposure can affect people with celiac disease, the role of common food additives, and the fascinating connection between fiber, the gut microbiome, and overall health.

"It took me, overall, almost 15 years to get into a Celiac clinic to get an official diagnosis... For a lot of people, it is the healthcare system, and they are slow to react to it." — Lia Champ
I'm honored to introduce Lia Champ, a passionate celiac disease advocate, as the second guest on Life Without Gluten.
In this episode, Lia shares what it was like to spend nearly 15 years searching for answers before finally receiving an official celiac disease diagnosis. We talk about the physical impact of years of being undiagnosed, learning to advocate for yourself while navigating life independently, asking the right questions, and managing social situations with friends and family.

"I felt like I was in a really deep hole. Even though I had someone with celiac disease in our family and we already had a lot of gluten-free stuff for her, and I already ate gluten free. It was not the same." — Joana Doce
I'm so excited to introduce Joana Doce—a passionate celiac disease advocate, Celiac Canada Ambassador, and influencer in Toronto's gluten-free community—as the very first guest on Life Without Gluten.
In our first two-part episode, we talk about Joana's and her daughter's celiac diagnoses—the guilt, the uncertainty, and the journey toward finding a new path forward. I’m in awe of how that experience led Joana to become a powerful voice for so many in our community.

Masha Lives Gluten Free
It’s time to talk about Life Without Gluten💚
As some of you know, I’ve been sharing little glimpses of a dream project that I’ve been quietly working on over the past year.
It all started last summer with a simple vision: to bring the gluten-free community together by sharing real, relatable stories from people living with celiac disease and food allergies here in Toronto.
At the time, I didn’t know anyone in my own circle of family and friends who truly understood the day-to-day challenges of living this way. I also knew creating something like this would be outside my comfort zone. But I wanted to be the kind of person I encourage my boys to be every day—curious, courageous, caring, compassionate, and willing to take that first step.
So I put out a post (yes, the one right below this 😊) on Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram asking if anyone would be interested in sharing their story. I honestly wasn't expecting much. Not everyone is comfortable opening up publicly, which I completely understand.
To my surprise, I heard from people across Canada, including British Columbia and Alberta. I was so grateful for those connections, but after some thought knew I wanted to film the first season in person here in Toronto.
Then one local celiac disease advocate said, "I'd love to share." We met in the fall of 2025, and that's when Life Without Gluten truly began.
Since then, one incredible person after another has said yes to this little project of mine. Every conversation has reminded me just how powerful these stories are—and how much there still is to learn, share, and talk about.
I'm not a professional filmmaker, editor, or reporter. I'm simply someone who believes these stories deserve to be heard.
The trailer drops at the end of July, and I honestly can't wait to share it with all of you.
Until then, I hope you're enjoying your summer… and I'll be over here finishing editing. 😆
Love,
Masha
