Heavy Is The Crown by Anderson .Paak & Cordae is an extremely average project. It's not bad but it's just not great. It's mid. It will give you a little tingle but that feeling fades fast. It sounds like they are rapping really well (paak kinda is) but when you look at the lyrics they aren't really saying much. One could say it's just a little fun project but I personally didn't have that much fun. Like the song You're Mine is more than likely about they're love for hip-hop but it's such a basic attempt at the "oh you think I'm talking about my love for a girl SIKE I'm talking about hiphop" that it really doesn't matter. Compared to the song Homecoming by Kanye, which they reference in the track, it pales in comparison. Cordae just doesnt have the swagg or energy to keep up with Paak to me. He's too generic of a rapper. It's kinda effortless for Anderson. He's so witty and colorful with it that you notice the short comings of Cordae way more. Cordae always sounds like he's reading his lyrics and I can't move past it. The production is decent, nothing special. I never once asked who produced this with that stank face. The 2nd half is a lot better than the first. From the song Crown down they started cooking. Overall I wasn't impressed and i really wanted to be. I'm tired of feeling like im being negative but truth is truth. But what do you think?

Stand out tracks.
Crown,
Helpless
I'm on

Solid 5/10 project on first listen.

Update I give it a 6/10 but I might forget I ever listened to it by next week.

Wale sent me over a pair of his highly sought after GT Future, a sold out sneaker collaboration he did with nike in December of 2025. Words can't express how I feel right now. This is truly a blessing. The irony in it all is that I spent years doing sneaker content with little to no recognition. So to be sent a pair I missed out on, by one of my favorite artist is amazing. This pair not only embodies my love for kicks but my love for an artist who is too good to be so slept on. Wale is currently on tour so check him out when he's in your city. And listen to everything is a lot right now.

Side note: the man is on tour right now and STILL went out his way to make sure this pair touchdown safely 🙌🏾 🌚🌙🌛‪@walemusic‬

I've been investing in a new streaming setup so I can go live more often with top notch quality. A few more bells and whistles and yall going to get tired of seeing my face. Thank you for all your support. Without it none of this is possible. 📚📚📚
