The Roc's Roost

Hey all. Here's an update! My trip to the doctor's went OK, but the bad news is that it's going to be a long road to recovery for my ears. Unfortunately, the doc put the kibosh to me wearing a headset or earbuds any time soon. (Or bending over, or going out in the rain, or taking showers.) You know what that means—no videos! I'm sorry to prolong the dry spell, but we'll just have to suffer together, I reckon. Look on the bright side: at least you don't have fluid draining from your ears 24/7. Keep smiling, my friends. 🤠👍

The Roc's Roost

Dear Dolly passed away earlier this week. We'll all miss her around here. A few years back, I bought my first fisheye lens, a Meike 6.5mm Ultra Wide f/2.0, and I took it to Dollywood for Smoky Mountain Christmas' opening night. I was digging around for some photos of Biggie, and I found a couple of the Dollywood fisheye photos, and I thought I'd share them with y'all. These were both taken with my Sony α7 mated to the Meike fisheye. Enjoy and have a great day!

The Roc's Roost

Hey everyone, I hope you are well today. Yesterday, was my channel's third anniversary. I had planned to have a special Q&A video out by then, but I haven't been able to do it. I love and appreciate each of you for watching my videos and for hanging out with me here on YouTube and on our Discord server. Because of that, here's some truth about what's going on with me.

I'm completely overwhelmed with many things in my life right now. Health, jury duty, magazine work, and YouTube. It's all piling up because I feel terrible most every day. I'm also in the process of learning new skills to hopefully get a better job. If something doesn't give, I'm literally not going to survive because I'm sick, and there's basically no money coming in right now. I've been waiting for two months, and I've got two more months to wait to get in to see a specialist. I don't need to comment on how utterly ridiculous that is, especially since I live in the self-proclaimed "best country on Earth." I won't go down that rabbit hole, because it's one of the many things that taxes me daily.

Suffice to say that, for the time being, making videos for YouTube is not something I can do. When things get worked out, then I'll return, but for now, things are going to have pause while I focus on improving my quality of life while I can.

All my love to each of you, always

Roc
