Good morning, friends.
Today we’re releasing the Psalm 38 song.

This one has been a battle to write — much like Psalm 88, often called the “dark pit” of the Psalms. Many scholars believe Psalm 38 comes from the season after David’s great moral failure with Bathsheba and the arranged death of Uriah, one of his own Mighty Men. When the prophet Nathan confronted David, he told him plainly that taking another man’s wife and shedding innocent blood would cost him dearly.

Psalm 38 carries the weight of that moment — the physical collapse, the guilt, the isolation, and the cry for mercy. I’ve tried to capture that sentiment in this song.

I pray it speaks to you the way it has spoken to me. Blessings on you all, David.

Good evening, friends.

I just posted Psalm 57 – You Hold Me In Your Love, and as I finished this one, something important came to mind that I want to share with you.

The most important thing about any of my Psalms songs is this: they are the Words of God.
I work hard to carry the language of each Psalm faithfully into the lyrics. I dig into the Hebrew words and their root meanings so I can capture the full intent of the message — not just the surface translation, but the heart behind it.

The thumbnails, the music, the production — those are just the window dressing. I want them to be done well, but they are not the point.

My prayer is that, from time to time, you’ll sit with your Bibles open and read the Psalm along with the song. To know that you do that would bring me great joy.

Good morning, friends.
I want to share something special. I’ve just finished a new song based on Psalm 51, called “Psalm 51 – Restored Again.” This marks the 100th Psalm I’ve written a song from — a milestone I never imagined reaching.

Psalm 51 is a Psalm of mercy, honesty, and restoration. We’ve all known failure, and we’ve all known grace. Jesus has carried every sin, and He restores us when we turn back to Him.

The thumbnail comes from a photo of a historic bridge my brothers and I helped move into Wilson-Ledbetter Park in Cameron, Texas. It felt fitting — a bridge restored, just like the Psalm. For any of you who might be interested, you can take a look at that bridge in Google Earth! Just search for that park and you will find the bridge on the Northwest corner of the lake!

As I came into my office just now, I noticed that we’ve officially reached 100 subscribers! I want to say a huge thank‑you to everyone who has joined in this journey — whether you’re here for the Psalm Songs, the Trucking Songs, Patricia’s Songs, or the Love Songs.


I am thankful for the 100 just as I was thankful for the very first subscriber… the 30th… the 47th. Some of you have been around for a while, and some of you are more recent. I appreciate each of you. A special thank‑you to those who take the time to comment on the videos — your words encourage me more than you know. I do my best to respond to each of those comments, so please keep ’em coming.


My prayer is that the songs the Lord gives me will glorify His name and bless all who hear them. More music is on the way, and I’m grateful to share the journey with you.
