Time stole my name.
Fate erased my footsteps.

When nothing remained of me,
I remained as... The Fool.

I wore countless faces,
walked beneath countless names,
and watched the world mistake every mask
for the man beneath it.

Klein Moretti was only one of them.

Yet beneath every identity, every title, every fate,
there remained a single, stubborn fool—

a fool who refused to bow.

I once believed I had to escape the designs of fate.
Later, I understood...

Perhaps fate was never something to escape.

Perhaps I only needed to walk far enough,
climb high enough,
and become the one who could look upon destiny
without lowering his head.

So I smiled.

Not because the road ahead was certain,
nor because the ending had been written in my favor—

but because even when fate had decided my destination,

I could still choose my next step.

And if the world demanded a name for the one
who walked beyond its design...

Then let it be—

The Fool.

Something crawls in my mind, not thoughts. just silent wars.

Something burns in my heart, not love.. just controlled chaos.

Something hides in my eyes, not tears.. only truths I refuse to show.

Something stirs in my consciousness, questioning even my own existence.

Something twists in my dreams, turning hope into calculated illusions.

And in the end... it's just me and me-one surviving, one watching

Same feeling after 5 months

Part 2: Fiction vs. Self-Help
‪@SakshiKachh-md2bo‬ didn’t agree with some of my points, so after reading her arguments, I’m responding to them and explaining my perspective

I think your criticism is strong, but it actually reveals a distinction that should have been made from the beginning.

My argument is not:

Fiction = reality.

It is:

Fiction = a model through which reality can be examined.

Those are very different claims.

Let me separate them.

1. Fiction does not replace experience. It expands the space of possible experience.

You are right that reading about grief, betrayal, failure, or sacrifice is not the same as living through them.

A story can give you a simulation.

Reality gives you consequences.

The two should never be confused.

But that does not make the simulation useless.

If I can examine ten possible decisions through fiction before I encounter a similar situation in reality, I have not "experienced" those decisions.

I have simply encountered possibilities I might otherwise never have considered.

That is already useful.

So I would revise the original idea:

Fiction cannot give you lived experience. It can give you second-hand access to possibilities.

---

2. Fictional consequences are constructed—but that doesn't make them meaningless.

Yes, the author controls the causal structure.

A character may betray someone and be punished because the author chose that consequence.

In reality, the same action might produce an entirely different result.

But the conclusion should not be:

"Therefore fiction cannot teach us anything about consequences."

The correct conclusion is:

"Therefore fictional consequences should be treated as possibilities, not laws."

That distinction matters.

Fiction doesn't tell you:

«"If you do X, reality will always produce Y."»

It can tell you:

«"Under these assumptions and circumstances, X can lead to Y."»

The second claim is much weaker—and much more defensible.

---

3. The reader can be biased. Exactly.

You point out that someone can read hundreds of stories while selecting only those that confirm their worldview.

I agree.

But notice what that actually demonstrates.

It doesn't demonstrate that fiction fails as a tool.

It demonstrates that the tool does not control the person using it.

A biased reader can turn almost anything into confirmation.

History can become confirmation.

Philosophy can become confirmation.

Science can even be selectively interpreted as confirmation.

The problem is not merely what enters the mind.

It is what the mind does with it.

Which is why I would change:

"Take what is useful. Discard what is not."

into:

"Question what appears useful before accepting it."

Because usefulness and truth are not automatically the same thing.

---

4. Fiction can be useful even when the philosophy inside it is wrong.

This is where I think fiction becomes more interesting than simple "learning from characters."

Suppose a character presents an incredibly persuasive philosophy.

And suppose that philosophy is wrong.

The story can still be valuable.

Because now the question becomes:

Why did this argument sound convincing?

What assumptions did it hide?

What emotional appeal did it use?

What information did it ignore?

Why did the character believe it?

Why did I almost believe it?

That is not learning what to think.

It is learning to examine how thinking works.

And sometimes learning how an idea fails is more valuable than being handed a correct answer.

---

5. Perspective is not the same as agreement.

This is why I like your "temporarily becoming someone else" point.

The useful question isn't simply:

"Was the character right?"

It is:

"If I had their information, history, fears, desires and limitations, would their decision make sense to me?"

Understanding a decision does not mean approving it.

Context does not erase responsibility.

But without context, judgment becomes extremely cheap.

It is easy to condemn a decision when you already possess information the character didn't.

It is harder to reconstruct the world as the character experienced it.

That is one of the things fiction can uniquely allow us to practice.

---

6. And yes, fiction doesn't have to teach anything.

This is where I agree with you most.

A story can be:

a mirror,

a laboratory,

an escape,

or simply an experience.

Not every novel needs to produce a lesson.

Sometimes you read because you want to wonder.

Sometimes because you want to laugh.

Sometimes because you want to inhabit another world for a few hours.

Sometimes there is no lesson.

And there doesn't need to be one.

Escapism itself isn't the problem.

The problem is when escape becomes substitution.

There is a difference between:

"I entered another world for a while."

and

"I no longer want to return to my own."

---

7. So I think our disagreement is smaller than it initially appears.

You are arguing:

Fiction does not automatically produce wisdom.

I agree.

You are arguing:

Fiction cannot substitute for lived experience.

I agree.

You are arguing:

Fiction can reinforce biases.

I agree.

You are arguing:

Fiction can be valuable purely as an experience.

I agree.

Where I differ is in what follows from those observations.

None of them makes fiction less useful.

They simply tell us that fiction is not a teacher whose lessons must be obeyed.

It is material for thought.

And that is why I would now phrase the original argument differently:

Fiction does not give you wisdom.

It gives you possibilities.

Possible people.

Possible motives.

Possible choices.

Possible consequences.

Possible worlds.

Possible philosophies.

Some will be insightful.

Some will be beautiful.

Some will be wrong.

Some will be seductive precisely because they are wrong.

And the reader's job is not to blindly extract lessons from them.

The reader's job is to examine them.

Because the deepest value of fiction may not be that it tells you what reality is.

It is that it gives you enough distance from reality to ask:

"What if the way I currently understand reality is incomplete?"

And then, eventually, the book closes.

The fictional world disappears.

The character's choices stop mattering.

And reality remains.

That is the boundary I was trying to draw from the beginning:

Fiction can expand your understanding of life.

It cannot live the life for you.

Perhaps I have no favorite color,
for I have seen darkness enough
to cherish every shade of light

No favorite flower,
for even the smallest one
knows how to bloom without hatred

No favorite book,
for every story carries a life
I have yet to understand

And no favorite person
perhaps because I have learned
that every soul carries a beauty
I once was too blind to see

I do not seek one beautiful thing anymore
I only wish to become the kind of man
who can see beauty wherever it grows

Is fiction useful?

Naturally

But not because it teaches you how the world should be

It is useful because it allows you to observe reality from a distance ~ especially human nature ~ without having to suffer every consequence yourself

Every story is a collection of human choices.

Ambition, Fear, Greed, Loyalty, Betrayal, Love, Sacrifice

The characters may be imaginary, but the desires driving them are not

You watch people make choices.
You watch those choices create consequences.
Then you ask yourself~

Would I have made the same choice?

Why repeat another person’s mistake when you can observe it first?

Why experience every consequence yourself when a story can show you the path and where it leads?

Fiction gives you countless lives to observe while you still have only one of your own

Read a hundred stories, and you have witnessed a hundred different ways people think, desire, suffer, deceive, sacrifice, and survive.

But fiction itself does not make you wiser

What you extract from it can

If you read merely to escape reality, fiction becomes a cage

But if you read to understand people, question your assumptions, recognize patterns, and sharpen your judgment, it becomes a tool / useful

Do not worship the story

Take what is useful
Discard what is not
Then return to reality

Because fiction is not reality

And that is precisely why it can teach you about reality

No matter how many worlds you enter through a book,

you still have only one life to act ..

When God Painted Your Soul

God must have smiled when He painted your soul,
for even the stars seem unfinished beside you;
the moon, though full, appears adorned with flaws,
and the sun’s golden radiance grows pale
before the quiet light that lives within your eyes.

Perhaps He lingered upon your face,
afraid that one more stroke might disturb perfection—
for how else could beauty become so tender,
so haunting, so impossibly divine?

He must have poured into you
the softness of dawn, the silence of midnight,
the warmth of summer, and the sorrow of rain;
and somewhere between heaven and earth,
He gave your soul a beauty
that no mortal language was ever meant to contain.

Even perfection, I think,
learned its meaning by looking at you.

And if the stars were made to adorn the heavens,
then you were made to make the heavens jealous.
If the moon was created to illuminate the night,
then your eyes were created
to teach the darkness what light truly means.

For I could spend a lifetime praising your beauty
and still feel that I have said nothing
because some souls are not meant to be described,
only cherished,
only admired in quiet wonder,
as one gazes upon a masterpiece
and wonders how heaven ever allowed it
to walk upon the earth

And if God truly smiled
when He created you,
then perhaps that smile
is the reason my heart still believes
that something divine
can exist in this imperfect world...🤍❄️
