Having now seen the film, I stand by pretty much everything I said here. There’s a lot more humour than I’d expected but it’s largely consistent with Barbarian and Weapons. I think it gets the spirit of Resident Evil while also being very narratively distinct from the games.

Splitting Who Is Luke Skywalker into 5 separate videos was the best decision I’ve made all year. I was getting increasingly overwhelmed by the enormity of the project and the sheer volume of research. Taking it one chapter at a time is much more manageable. I can’t wait to share part one with you next week.

If you’re a long-term subscriber, you might be wondering what happened to the “Who Is Luke Skywalker?” video essay I’ve been promising you all year.
Well, I’m still working on it. Actively. But it’s proving a huge undertaking, and I’d rather do it properly than do it quickly. But I won’t want to leave you waiting another six months for it either. SO, I’ve made the decision to split it into 5 chapters - each focusing on a period of Skywalker’s life.
The first of which will release this month. I hope you enjoy.
