The programme aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of international trade, global business practices and the strategic dimensions of cross-border commerce, equipping them with valuable insights to navigate the evolving global business environment.
The inaugural session commenced with the inaugural address by Mrs. Rama S, Executive Director (Finance), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), in inaugural address, highlighted the importance of international trade and its relevance in today’s dynamic global business environment. She emphasized that the the Programme would help the officers of BEL in their day today operational issues.
Dr. Asheesh Pandey, Head (MDP) & Programme Director, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi, who highlighted India’s growing defence export landscape and BEL’s contribution to it. He referred BEL’s exports account for approximately 3.8% of India’s total defence exports.
Dr. Pandey also briefed on how the five-day programme will benefit participants by enhancing their understanding of international trade procedures, export-import operations, global market dynamics and the strategic aspects of cross-border business.
The programme is designed to equip officers with practical knowledge and a broader perspective to identify international business opportunities, strengthen export capabilities and contribute to BEL’s global outreach.
Through this initiative, IIFT Delhi continues its commitment to delivering industry-oriented executive education and capacity-building programmes for public sector enterprises, supporting professionals in developing the knowledge and competencies required to excel in international business and trade.
Taking classroom learning to the global stage, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) student delegation, accompanied by faculty member Dr. Tuheena Mukherjee, explored Thailand’s dynamic business ecosystem, gaining first-hand insights into international trade, investment, port operations, digital innovation and sustainability.
The delegation engaged with the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI); Embassy of India, Thailand, interacting with Ms Jagpreet Kaur, First Secretary (Economic & Commercial) and (Press, Information & Culture); and the India Thai Chamber of Commerce (ITCC), represented by its President and Treasurer.
At Laem Chabang Port, students explored maritime logistics, shipping and customs operations, followed by a visit to the AIS Experience Centre in the Eastern Economic Corridor, offering insights into Thailand’s digital transformation, technology and AI infrastructure.
The visit concluded at the School of Management, Asian Institute of Technology), Bangkok, with Mr. Sam Hanna, Director, Business & Corporate Development, Adjunct Faculty and Director of the Executive MBA Programme, delivering a lecture on Trade, Sustainability and Strategy. Student presentations on India–Thailand trade relations and emerging partnerships in the Global South also opened avenues for potential academic collaboration between IIFT and AIT.
An enriching experience that strengthened global perspectives, fostered institutional engagement and reinforced IIFT’s commitment to developing future-ready business leaders.

With extensive experience at the intersection of international finance, public policy, and government–industry engagement, Ms. Katyal shared valuable perspectives on how the evolving geopolitical landscape is reshaping global business and corporate strategy.
The session explored the transition from hyper-globalisation to an increasingly fragmented world order, highlighting the significance of geopolitical risk assessment, the concepts of Black Swan and Gray Rhino events, and the need to embed geopolitical insights into organisational decision-making. Discussions also underscored the importance of building resilience, anticipating emerging risks, and identifying new opportunities amid global uncertainty, including for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The session featured 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐣𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢,` eminent physician, distinguished academician and renowned author, and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐤, talented singer, who brought together thoughtful perspectives on mental well-being and the therapeutic power of soulful music. The discussion underscored the importance of nurturing mental health, finding balance amid life's challenges, and embracing mindful living to foster emotional well-being.
The programme was graced by Dr. Sweta Srivastava Malla, Head, GSM, and attended by Dr. Anchal Arora, Programme Director, and Dr. ANOMA MODAK, Clinical Psychologist, IIFT along with faculty members and students. The cohort also reflects gender diversity, with 8 female participants and 38 male participants, demonstrating EMPD's continued encouragement of wider participation and gender diversity while admitting participants to the CPEIM programme.
The professional profiles include experience with prominent organizations such as Microsoft India R&D, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, FedEx, Accenture, Google Pay India, Genpact, Asian Paints, SRF Limited, The Economic Times, Ipsos, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, and several other corporate organizations, SMEs and entrepreneurial ventures.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Prof. M. Venkatesan , Head, EMPD, the programme was subsequently briefed to the participants by Programme Director, Dr. Rithi S.R, who provided an overview of the programme structure, learning journey and the areas of Export-Import Management that participants will engage with during the programme.

भारतीय विदेश व्यापार संस्थान में हिंदी के प्रति रुचि बढ़ाने और राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रयोग को प्रोत्साहित करने के उद्देश्य से 14-30 सितंबर 2006 के दौरान हिंदी पखवाड़ा आयोजित किया गया। पखवाड़े के दौरान अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों के लिए विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया, जिनमें सभी ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।
हिंदी पखवाड़े के अंतर्गत प्रश्नोतरी प्रतियोगिता, निबंध लेखन, हिंदी टंकण तथा कथा-कहानी, कहो अपनी जुबानी प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गई। इन प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रतिभागियों ने अपनी भाषा संबंधी दक्षता, ज्ञान एवं रचनात्मकता का प्रदर्शन किया।
हिंदी पखवाड़े के समापन समारोह में विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले प्रतिभागियों को पुरस्कार एवं प्रमाण-पत्र प्रदान किए गए। समारोह के दौरान संस्थान की हिंदी पत्रिका ‘यज्ञ’ के अंक-19 का विमोचन भी किया गया। यह अवसर संस्थान में हिंदी की रचनात्मक गतिविधियों को प्रोत्साहित करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण रहा।
समापन समारोह में सुमन आर्ट एंड कल्चर ग्रुप द्वारा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया गया, जिसमें विभिन्न राज्यों के लोकनृत्यों, देशभक्ति और अन्य सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियों के माध्यम से भारत की विविध संस्कृति और परंपराओं की सुंदर झलक देखने को मिली। इन प्रस्तुतियों ने समारोह को रोचक और जीवंत बना दिया।

IIFT Delhi Executive Management Programmes Division hosted a special ENCORE lecture on “𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬” featuring Ms. Sonia Katyal, distinguished Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) alumna.
With extensive experience at the intersection of international finance, public policy, and government–industry engagement, Ms. Katyal shared valuable perspectives on how the evolving geopolitical landscape is reshaping global business and corporate strategy.
The session explored the transition from hyper-globalisation to an increasingly fragmented world order, highlighting the significance of geopolitical risk assessment, the concepts of Black Swan and Gray Rhino events, and the need to embed geopolitical insights into organisational decision-making. Discussions also underscored the importance of building resilience, anticipating emerging risks, and identifying new opportunities amid global uncertainty, including for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The engaging session was enriched by the presence of Prof. Biswajit Nag, Dr. Himani Gupta , Dr. priyanka jaiswal, and Dr. Rithi S.R, and featured an insightful discussion with executive management programme participants.

On the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲, a special session titled “𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐨 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐲” was held at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), bringing together thought-provoking insights on mental well-being, the art of mindful living, and the healing power of soulful music. The session was a gentle reminder that caring for our mental health is not a luxury, but a necessity.
The session featured 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐣𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢,` eminent physician, distinguished academician and renowned author, and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐤, talented singer, who brought together thoughtful perspectives on mental well-being and the therapeutic power of soulful music. The discussion underscored the importance of nurturing mental health, finding balance amid life's challenges, and embracing mindful living to foster emotional well-being.
The programme was graced by Dr. Sweta Srivastava Malla, Head, GSM, and attended by Dr. Anchal Arora, Programme Director, and Dr. ANOMA MODAK, Clinical Psychologist, IIFT along with faculty members and students. Dr. Anchal Arora addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of mental well-being in both personal and professional life, and delivered the vote of thanks.
The session served as a meaningful reminder that, in an increasingly demanding world, prioritising mental health, embracing mindfulness, and finding solace in music can help us lead more balanced and fulfilling lives.

CPEIM-15 marks another step towards developing a stronger understanding of international trade, export-import procedures and the evolving global business environment.
🌏 𝐀 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
The 46-member cohort brings together young graduates, working professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners and experienced industry professionals, with diverse age profile, ranging from the youngest participant at 21 years to the oldest at 51 years, bringing together young graduates. The cohort also reflects gender diversity, with 8 female participants and 38 male participants, demonstrating EMPD's continued encouragement of wider participation and gender diversity while admitting participants to the CPEIM programme.
The professional profiles include experience with prominent organizations such as Microsoft India R&D, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, FedEx, Accenture, Google Pay India, Genpact, Asian Paints, SRF Limited, The Economic Times, Ipsos, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, and several other corporate organizations, SMEs and entrepreneurial ventures.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Prof. M. Venkatesan , Head, EMPD, the programme was subsequently briefed to the participants by Programme Director, Dr. Rithi S.R, who provided an overview of the programme structure, learning journey and the areas of Export-Import Management that participants will engage with during the programme.

भारतीय विदेश व्यापार संस्थान में हिंदी के प्रति रुचि बढ़ाने और राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रयोग को प्रोत्साहित करने के उद्देश्य से 14-30 सितंबर 2006 के दौरान हिंदी पखवाड़ा आयोजित किया गया। पखवाड़े के दौरान अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों के लिए विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया, जिनमें सभी ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।
हिंदी पखवाड़े के अंतर्गत प्रश्नोतरी प्रतियोगिता, निबंध लेखन, हिंदी टंकण तथा कथा-कहानी, कहो अपनी जुबानी प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गई। इन प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रतिभागियों ने अपनी भाषा संबंधी दक्षता, ज्ञान एवं रचनात्मकता का प्रदर्शन किया।
हिंदी पखवाड़े के समापन समारोह में विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले प्रतिभागियों को पुरस्कार एवं प्रमाण-पत्र प्रदान किए गए। समारोह के दौरान संस्थान की हिंदी पत्रिका ‘यज्ञ’ के अंक-19 का विमोचन भी किया गया। यह अवसर संस्थान में हिंदी की रचनात्मक गतिविधियों को प्रोत्साहित करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण रहा।
समापन समारोह में सुमन आर्ट एंड कल्चर ग्रुप द्वारा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया गया, जिसमें विभिन्न राज्यों के लोकनृत्यों, देशभक्ति और अन्य सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियों के माध्यम से भारत की विविध संस्कृति और परंपराओं की सुंदर झलक देखने को मिली। इन प्रस्तुतियों ने समारोह को रोचक और जीवंत बना दिया।
इस अवसर पर हिंदी के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कुलपति महोदय ने सभी से कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिंदी का अधिक से अधिक प्रयोग करने का आह्वान किया गया। हिंदी पखवाड़े का यह आयोजन उत्साह, रचनात्मकता और सहभागिता के साथ सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ।
