After traveling through Morocco for 3 weeks, experiencing sensory overload in Morocco’s lively markets, uncovering stunning mountain towns, and living in the incredible Sahara Desert, last week I set off on a road trip down Morocco’s Western Coast to discover a new side of this beautiful country. Unfortunately, just a few days into my Moroccan road trip, news of the new Omicron coronavirus variant led to Morocco quickly closing all borders in and out of the country, throwing a curveball into my coastal road trip and leaving me stuck trying to figure out how to leave the country safely.
