Accountability Lab in collaboration with the Secretariat Training Institute hosted the Design Thinking Workshop with officers of the 47th Specialized Training Programme (52nd CTP).
Day one laid a strong foundation by introducing design thinking frameworks, equipping participants to critically assess reform efforts within their institutions. Through structured group exercises, officers mapped initiatives identifying successes, gaps, and the assumptions that shaped the process.
By beginning with this reflective lens, the workshop created space for officers to question conventional approaches and explore adaptive, citizen-centered methodologies.
This critical groundwork on day-one, now sets the stage for more innovative problem-solving in the sessions ahead.

Disinformation in Pakistan is not accidental, it is engineered, monetised, and weaponised.
From AI-generated deepfakes to coordinated smear campaigns, a powerful economy of falsehoods now shapes what we see, believe, and fear. Platforms profit from outrage and our media, underfunded and under siege, struggles to hold the line.
Our latest policy brief co-published with the Media Matters for Democracy, “The Disinformation Economy of Pakistan,” traces how disinformation has evolved into a structural crisis, one that undermines democracy, silences women, and erodes trust. This is not just a digital issue. It’s a fight for truth, inclusion, and the future of public discourse.
