In June 2026 alone, the FDIs went town to $447 million compared to $638 million just a Month earlier in May 2026. The FDIs to the Philippines mainly came from Japan, the United States (US) and Singapore, who made the Investments in the Fields of Manufacturing, Finance and Insurance, and Real Estate.

The BSP expects the total FDIs into the Philippines to hit $7 billion at the End of this Year. The BSPs FDI Data differs from those of other Government Agencies because it only shows the Actual Investments, or those that actually materialized.

Other Government Agencies like the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) tend to show higher Data because they show the Approved Investments, some of which may not materialize at all.

RE: Few Tourists from US as their Government warns them to exercise Caution when traveling to its supposed Ally, the Philippines

The United States (US), which has repeatedly claimed that is has an "Ironclad Commitment" to help the Philippines fight other Countries like China in times of War, has put the entire Philippines under a Level 2 Travel Advisory, which means that all of its Citizens should exercise increased Caution when traveling to the Country.

This means that no Area in the Philippines currently falls under its lightest or least Travel Advisory of Level 1, or "Exercise Normal Precautions". The US says that this is due to Incidences of Crime, Terrorism, Unrest and Kidnapping in the Country.

The US currently has a Level 4 Travel Advisory or "Do Not Travel" Warning to the Sulu Archipelago and Marawi City.

A Level 3 or "Reconsider Travel" Warning is issued to certain Areas in Mindanao, but exempted from this are Davao City's Central Business District and Airport, the Davao Del Norte Province, the main Thoroughfare from Davao City to Davao del Norte and the main Thoroughfare from Davao City to Mabini and Dona Alicia.

The Islands of Dinagat, Kopiat and Samal are also exempted from the Level 3 Warning. These Warnings are one of the main Reasons why there just aren’t as many Tourists from the US that are coming to the Philippines, because they are being discouraged by these Warnings.

RE: Philippine Peso under BBM went from ₱55.01 against US Dollar at the Start of his Term to ₱62.4 at the Start of September 2026

An Infographic by the Daily Tribune showed how much the Value of the Philippine Peso against the United States (US) Dollar has fallen so far under the Administration of Bong Bong Marcos (BBM). At the start of his Term in June 30, 2022, it was at ₱55.01.

However, more than four Years later at the start of September 1, 2026, it had already fallen to a record low ₱62.4. Previous to this, the Philippine Peso never went below ₱62 in its entire History. This means that the Philippine Peso had already lost 13.4% of it's value compared to before.

This has significant Impact because $1 million now costs ₱7.39 million more than it did before. Put it another Way, $10,000 now will cost ₱73,900 more than in 2022. Dollar-earners think this is good but it is actually not because we need to use US Dollars to buy Petrol Products which is used to transport Goods and People.

Thus a weaker Peso means higher Prices of Goods which will negate whatever increase in the Value of the Dollar. And this is especially bad for most of the Filipinos who are not Dollar-earners anyway, so in the End is them who will suffer most

RE: Japan’s biggest Bank & one of the biggest in World said the Philippine Peso was worst-performing Currency in Asia in August 2026

The biggest Bank in Japan, and of the biggest Banks in the entire World, the "Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) Bank, Limited" recently declared the Philippine Peso as the worst performing Currency in Asia for the Week of August 24 to 28, 2026.

During that Period, the Philippine Peso had already lost 1% of its Value versus the United States (US) Dollar. In contrast, the Thailand Baht lost only 0.8% while other Currencies like the South Korean Won and the New Taiwan Dollar went up by 1.1% and 0.8% respectively.

The Malaysian Ringgit and India Rupee also went up in Value against the US Dollar. MUFG Bank cites higher imported Energy costs and higher Trade Deficit as the primary Reasons for the very poor performance of the Peso.

Data from the Philippine Government showed that imports in July 2026 went up by an incredible 60%, increasing the Trade Deficit to $6 billion.

So far the Philippine Peso has now lost 1.6% of its Value since the start of August 2026, and 1.4% from the period of April to June 2026. And for the Year 2026 or since January 2026, the Peso had already lost 5.8% of its Value.

RE: China made $37.9 billion worth of High-Tech Investments to Malaysia in the last 11 Years, or an average of $3.4 billion per Year

Chinese Companies made around $37.9 billion worth of High Technology Investments to Malaysia in the last 11 Years, or from 2015 to 2016 which averages out to approximately $3.4 billion per Year.

These Investments were made in the form of around 67 Deals in the Fields of Semiconductors, Solar Energy, Electric Vehicles (EV) and their Batteries, Data Centers and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Malaysia achieved this in Part by courting China for these Investments by being very Vocal about their Neutrality and non-Alignment among the World's Superpower Countries. As a Result, China has become Malaysia's biggest Trading Partner since 2009 which eventually lead to these Investments.

Like the Philippines, Malaysia also have numerous Territorial Disputes with China. But rather than continually quarreling with China over these like the Philippines does at the urging of the United States (US), Malaysia has focused on a more Pragmatic Approach and instead engaged China with more Investments and Trade.

These Investments not only gave the Malaysia Economy more Revenues from Exports and Domestic Consumption, but also provided countless high-quality Job Opportunities for the Malaysian People.

RE: “Philippine Assets are already now so cheap, but Foreign Investors still not buying them” – BDO Capital & Investment President

The President of the Banco De Oro (BDO) Capital and Investment Corporation, Ed Francisco recently said that the Philippine's Assets are already now on their lowest Valuations, but that Foreign Investors are still no buying them and staying out of the Philippine Market.

He says that this is mainly due to the poor Market Perception and just too much Focus on Politics right now. He pointed out that some major Businesses like those of Manny V. Pangilinan and the Ayalas are now buying back their Stock Shares because they think that these are now so cheap.

As a Result, some of these Businesses are now reportedly considering delisting from the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) since they think the current Market are not giving their Stocks its appropriate Values.

He also said that the outlook looks bleak as nobody knows when the Market will recover, but says that the coming 2028 Elections could play a big Role if the next President will be acceptable to the Majority.
