Growing Wild In Ireland

Our mini break from Youtube turned into a longer break! Sometimes life asks you to pause and simply live your dream, quietly and that's where we find ourselves right now.

This chapter of Growing Wild has been one of the most extraordinary experiences, made all the richer by your every view, every comment, every kind word of encouragement along the way. You made this little channel feel like something much bigger than it was.

We’ll leave the channel here for now, who knows we might return 🙏🏻

Stay Wild,
Corinna, Jeremy, Moo & Tilly x

🍀💚🤍🧡

We left our old life behind for a slower, freer, wilder way of living. Now we're challenging ourselves with the renovation of a derelict Irish cottage and outbuildings, restoring traditional stone walls, building a homestead from the ground up, and working towards self-sufficient gardens filled with native plants and wild abundance.

This week on our Irish homestead we’re clearing the last of the metalwork, rubble and remnants from inside the dairy — cattle troughs, rusted brackets, old doors and door frames. Faced with so many rust-seized nuts and bolts we decided to pull out the angle grinder big guns!

It’s the final chance to clear the dairy before everything kicks off. Once this is done, the dairy is ready for a new roof, exterior paint, new doors, solar panels, mains electric connection and to finally be reconnected to the barn as it once was. We can’t wait to get this project completed, it will be a sizeable milestone on the homestead.

📌 Episode 12 has just dropped!

It’s been two months since our last tour of our derelict Irish farmhouse and homestead, and so much has changed — whether you’ve been with us from the start or have just found us, now is a very exciting time to be here.

We’ve spent months clearing, stripping and preparing our Irish farmhouse renovation.
Now everything is about to kick off.

Outside, the ESB are moving poles and getting us reconnected, we have a builder lined up, a dairy to reroof with solar panels, an extension to rebuild from the ground up, and a barn to reconnect. Inside, once the skip arrives we start stripping downstairs. All with our goal of reaching a shell before Christmas.

On the land, the polytunnel is feeding us, raised beds are going in, and the paddocks are slowly coming back to life.

Six months to build something real, brace yourselves!

Growing Wild In Ireland

Check out our latest episode at Growing Wild in Ireland! This week on our derelict Irish farmhouse renovation, we're turning our attention to one of the most beloved features of our home — the Stanley Stove. A true Irish icon, she's seen better days but we're not ready to give up on her just yet.

Before the next phase of stripping begins on our Irish homestead, the Stanley needs to come out. But this isn't goodbye — it's the beginning of a side quest we're genuinely excited about.

📖Real life on our Irish homestead doesn’t stop between the big renovation jobs on our derelict Farmhouse — there are always little, daily things to do, small moments to savour, and plenty of jobs that don’t make the headlines but keep everything moving forward. In those quieter moments that’s when we plan and reset.

Growing Wild In Ireland

This weeks episode has just dropped : https://youtu.be/_Zyq-VBT2TQ

This week the rain kept us inside — and inside got a little wild.

We removed the lime render from the small bedroom walls, took down the panelled ceiling on the landing, and continued clearing plasterboard and studwork. What we found behind it all told us everything about just how derelict this 100-year-old Irish farmhouse really is.

Damp stonework, rotten roof trusses, and something hidden above the ceiling panels that changed the energy of our stripping back.
