You all really have me thinking about dyeing my hair to get rid of the lint and “hair follicle” (yes, I now know they’re not actually the full follicles) problem!! I’m both nervous and excited 😆.

Hi you guys! Long time, no speak!

Let’s catch up really quickly (or not so quickly 😉). Two weeks ago, I FINALLY got that master’s degree I’ve been chasing 🙌🏾😮‍💨🤩.

This week, I’m in Barbados with my wonderful mom, getting some much needed R&R ❤️🏝.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking over the last few days.

I’ve realized that so much of my identity for the last… decade (😬).. has been related to being a student. When I was in high school, I pursued college. When I was in college, I pursued graduate school. Etc.

Now that my time as a student has come to a close , I’ve been haunted by the question, “Who am I if I’m not a student?”. I had truly forgotten 🥺😂.

Well, on this trip to Barbados, I remembered:

I’m a woman with locs that I LOVE, a woman with family and friends I adore, a woman who is passionate about living well & being healthy, a woman who seeks out new experiences, and so much more.

I started my YouTube channel with the intention to create content and build a community surrounding all of those things. Then, life (school) got in the way.

I can’t live in regret but I CAN reclaim my time! I’m feeling inspired, and I’m SO excited about what’s ahead.😍😍

I owe you guys a loc update video— It’s coming soon, along with so much more.

I’ve really missed y’all. Thank you for being patient with me on this journey. If you’re not following me on Instagram, follow me @ambyressence. I’ll be posting content on there as well.
