The exact order I'd learn AWS in 2026 if I was starting again.
AWS has over 200 services.
Most people try to memorise what each one does, EC2 does this, S3 does that, Lambda is serverless.
That worked 5 years ago.
I've sat on the hiring side of the table and watched person after person recite every service, then freeze the moment I asked them to design something.
So I wouldn't start with services.
I'd learn to take a business problem and work through it in 6 layers:
1️⃣ Traffic - How users reach the app, how content gets to them fast, and how you survive a spike.
2️⃣ Compute - Where the work actually runs, and what happens when one part of it fails.
3️⃣ Data - The right storage for the right information, and how it moves around the system.
4️⃣ Security - What's allowed to talk to what, built into every layer from day one.
4️⃣ Cost - What it costs today, and how easily it changes when the business does.
5️⃣ Observability - How you find out something's broken before your users do.
Then I'd learn to build it all as code, because nobody in a real job clicks production together in the console.
Work through those layers for a startup about to go viral, an online shop that crashed on Black Friday and a bank with 40 people reading documents by hand, and you'll touch most of the AWS services that matter.
The difference is you'll know when to use each one, and why.
That's what gets people hired.

Four years ago people were commenting on my videos saying there were no Cloud jobs.
Other creators were making videos about everyone moving back on-prem.
Today, no serious company has moved back, AWS is sold out into 2027, and one consultancy just posted 40 Cloud roles in a single week.
Most of those creators aren't making content any more.
I didn't know I'd be right, I just didn't listen to the noise.
