🔊 God’s voice in your life (Excerpt from “Not of This World”)
When children grow, they depend entirely on the parents' voice to guide and teach basic things: don't go there, don't touch this, etc.

As children mature and reach adulthood, their reliance on their parents’ voice diminishes, and their own way of thinking develops. Consequently, a grown-up son often understands what the father wants without having to ask.
Unfortunately, many believers are hesitant to grow spiritually and instead rely on external voices; they often say things like,
“I need to go to a prophet and ask God,” or
“I’ll just pray with the prophet and do what he tells me.
To move or not to move?
To buy or not to buy?
To get married or not?”

Despite being long-time Christians, these individuals struggle to mature and still depend on someone else’s relationship with God, whether a pastor or someone else.

While we are spiritually maturing, we depend on the voice of God all the time. However, when we enter into sonship, we begin to understand how the Father thinks, so we don’t always have to ask.
I believe the time has come for the Church to grow in sonship, start thinking as the Father does, and begin to do His will.

❓So, how do you mature and hear His voice?

Today, we have so many sermons and books available to us on how to hear the voice of God. Although these are good messages in which believers share their experiences and different methods or strategies to hear God, I want to go back to the basics. See, if God spoke to everyone the same way, we would not need to have a personal relationship with Him.

That's why we should focus less on forms and methods of the way He speaks and instead focus more on getting closer to God, transforming into His likeness, and becoming one with Him so we can start thinking like Him and know His ways.

I wholeheartedly believe that having the mind of Christ and His way of thinking is the highest possible level of hearing God’s voice. Then, we will no longer wait for the activations, prophets, or signs, but we will know what to do, when to do it, and how to respond in various situations.

Let this truth soak into you.
With love,
Pastor Andrey Shapoval
